Edusoft: Ten Sample Reports

Edusoft can be a very valuable tool to inform you of your students learning!
Enclosed, you will find samples of representative reports that can be found in Edusoft.
These sample reports cover both state testing (CST, CELDT, etc) and District
Benchmarks. Each report has the steps one needs to recreate the same report using
ones own data (the trail of breadcrumbs). It should be noted that for most of these
reports, there are a number of options, and in this sample, only one option was
selected. For example, in the Teacher Report, a teacher can select to print out a Class
Summary Report with just overall
scores, with scores broken down
by all of the standards on the test,
with scores broken down by all of
the question groups on the test or
with an item analysis provided or
with all of these options. Rather
than display an example of each of these report options, only one is provided. These
options are generally available for most of the reports. Feel free to experiment with
other options to achieve your goals.

When choosing to create a report, a series
of choices must be made. For example, in creating
a California Standards Test (CST) Demographic
Report the following choices are made. Start at
the State Analysis menu.

Benchmark Exams: Class Summary Report

To help facilitate your collegial conversation with your principal, heres how to make a useful report
quickly. There are many reports possible, and this is only one suggestion.

1. From the Benchmark Exams, choose Teacher Reports.




2. From Class Reports choose Class Summary Report.



3. Choose a test.

4. You might have to choose a teacher or class.


5. Choose Question Group Scores. This is a report that groups the standards into main groups, rather
than listing all of the individual standards. It produces a more compact report.


6. You may wish to choose a Question Group Band to highlight.
