Edison
Large blocky pepper, very suitable for greenhouse production when fruit quality is
important. Strong open growing plant with good setting. Large blocky fruits. Dark green
fruit colour, remarkable shine. Strong against blossom end rot. Very high yielding.
Spider (E 41.7989) p
The new pepper hybrid for the long greenhouse crop. Strong, generative plant producing
fruits regularly throughout the whole growing cycle. Large green to red ripening high
quality blocky fruits. Very high total yield. Strong root system, strong against russetting
and blossom end rot. A very reliable variety for growing under a wide range of cropping
conditions.
Chang
Chang is the main benchmark variety for the heated crops in Holland. The combination
of high quality fruits with top yield makes it a variety which is diffcult to beat. The strong
growing plant is open and well balanced giving a very regular fruit production over a
long cropping period. Ferrari is widely adapted to different cropping circumstances and
always gives a reliable result. Strong against russetting and blossom end rot.
Special
A variety particularly recommended for heated greenhouse crops where light conditions
are optimal. Special has become the standard variety for many growers in many areas.
The blocky green to red ripening fruits are medium in size, frm and very uniform in
shape. Special gives a very high number of class 1 marketable fruits, bright and shiny
at the full mature red stage. The plant habit is vigorous, well adapted to more diffcult
cropping regimes. Strong against blossom end rot and fruit splitting.
Sunnyez
A compact vigorous planttype with excellent performance in hot conditions. The
uniform, bright yellow fruits are predominantly 3 to 4 lobed and frm.

Velez
A green to yellow maturing hybrid blocky pepper for early spring heated and non-heated
covered crops in Southern Europe. The fruits are very big, thick walled and extremely
uniform in shape. Velez is very productive, its quality is well appreciated by exporters
and traders alike.
Fista
The standard hybrid greenhouse pepper for many export markets. Fiesta has a high, early
production. The fruits colour quickly through from green to a bright, attractive yellow
and have a very good keeping quality. Regular fruit is setting on a strong, generative
plant. Strong against top cracking, russetting, and blossom end rot.
Magno
An exciting blocky green to orange maturing hybrid Pepper. Magno is particularly well
adaptable to production in non-heated greenhouses and plastic tunnels. Strong growing
plant and good recuperation after winter. The fruits are large, very uniform in shape
and colour through to a bright deep orange at full maturity. Production starts early and
Magno has a very high total yield. An excellent variety for the discerning grower.

shelf life makes Amaral especially suited for export.
Alboney (E 27.32618) p | n
Alboney is especially suitable for long term cultivations. The plants show great vigour
and excellent staying power in combination with an easy fruit set. Alboney maintains to
have good fruit set and growth in hot and stressy conditions. Alboney has a medium
long and open plant type with broad leaves. The horizontal arrangement of leaves and
the fact that it grows straight up along the wire make it very labour friendly. Alboney
produces 5-6 fruits per cluster and is fairly early to produce. The very regular plant- and
fruit development contribute to a very high yield potential. The fruits are very frm and
uniform, with an excellent skin quality and attractive deep red fruits.
Buran
A strong growing variety in the Belle type. Large sized fruits (200-230 grams), very frm
and uniform, fat-globe in shape and an attractive dark red colour at maturity. Buran

Rudi
The reliable standard variety since many years. The strengths of Rudi are the relative
early maturing, the very uniform development and the adaptability to produce under
diffcult conditions. The bulbs are round as a bullet with fne root system and stabile leaf
growth. The Rudi has strong leaves, so easy to make bunches.
Natura
Natura has a strong, well balanced and open plant. Particularly recommended for non
heated protected autumn/winter crops in Southern Europe. The fruits are cylindrical in
shape and dark to medium green in colour, very uniform in shape and cylindical. Natura
is high yielding and can continue to produce over a long cropping period. An attractive
growers variety!
Shakira
Enzas top quality, high yielding hot pepper. Shakira has long, thick walled, dark green
pointed fruits, 16 cm long by 2 cm at the top, which mature to an attractive deep red colour
at full maturity. The plant is vigorous and has a canopy which gives good cover to the
maturing fruits. Shakira is extremly high yielding and grows well in a wide range of cropping
conditions. Already a standard variety for many hot pepper specialists in The Middle East!

Your attention is required for:
Resistances in varieties of our crops will be coded (see for explanation our coding list at www.enzazaden.com), unless indicated otherwise. In case a variety is resistant to more than one pathogen, the individual resistance codes will
be separated by the symbol /.
If in a resistance code of a certain variety reference is made to certain strains for which the resistance is claimed this means that no resistance is claimed to other strains of the same pathogen.
If in a resistance code no reference is made to strains of the pathogen for which the resistance is claimed this means that resistance is claimed only to certain not further specifed strains of the pathogen and herewith disclaiming
any guarantee that the variety will not be infected by the said pathogen.
Two examples:
Tm: A Tm 3 resistant sweet pepper variety is resistant to Tobamo (Bell Pepper Mosaic Virus, Pepper Mild Mottle Virus, Tobacco Mild Green Mosaic Virus, Tobacco Mosaic Virus, Tomato Mosaic Virus) race 0,1,2 and 3.
TSWV: A TSWV resistant variety has resistance to certain non specifed strains of Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus
Two levels of resistance are defned:
High resistance (HR) - plant varieties that highly restrict the growth and development of the specifed pest or pathogen under normal pest or pathogen pressure when compared to susceptible varieties. These plant varieties may,
however, exhibit some symptoms or damage under heavy pest or pathogen pressure.
Intermediate resistance (IR) - plant varieties that restrict the growth and development of the specifed pest or pathogen, but may exhibit a greater range of symptoms or damage compared to highly resistant plant varieties.
Intermediately resistant plant varieties will still show less severe symptoms or damage than susceptible plant varieties when grown under similar environmental conditions and/or pest or pathogen pressure.
