Mr. Brians Class
Literacy
Students will be able to differentiate between fact and opinion in a text and explain why
the text is a fact or an opinion
Students will be able to write simple sentences using who, what, when, where, how,
and why to improve their writing skills.
Math
Students will begin to understand skip-counting patterns by 2, 5, and 10 to 100
Students will learn how to compile data and represent it in a graph
Dear Parents,
Our class is beginning to come together as a very strong community. They have been working
hard on understanding what it takes to make their classroom community strong. The class has
shown a tremendous amount of caring, cooperation, and tolerance. Here are some things we will
look at this week.

sent the amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones
Dear Parents,
We had a very successful week one last week. Your children are busy learning about how to treat
one another within our community. They created their class rules and are well on their way to
understanding communities and how they function successfully.
