SANDAY NGO PROFILE
SANDAY is a youth based non governmental and profit seeking organization which
operates in Sahel region (both urban and rural) and its head office is Berbera.
SANDAY was born from commitment made by number of young youth on 13/oct/2005,
who devoted humanitarian principles and dedicated to development,.
Also initiative arose due to build strengthen coordination among the youth, and how
effectively respond the obstacles of agriculture which currently become vulnerable and
faced log period of lack of rainfall as well as to empower women so as to participate
spheres of knowledge.

Vision
We envisage empowered youth enhanced food security &community who have healthy
life.

Mission
We exist to enhance agriculture and to empower community especially youth through
mobilizing and advocating them to get better life

SANDAY is committed to that all community will have access health and education.

Org,objectives
►To mobilize the youth in order to protect their lives from hazardous things such as
DRUGS, HIV AIDS
►To enhance food security through capacity building of farmers and helping technically
so as to sustain their farming techniques
►To support education skills sports of the women
►To heighten sanitation level of the region so as to improve well and hygienic
environment
►To sustain our valuable culture and religion

Core activities

Since the inception SANDAY has committed community especially youth based activities
→HIV AIDS awareness workshops targeted al most 60 youth in Sahel region
→Sanitation campaigns in the schools and constructed waste disposal reservoirs, latrine
cleaning with awareness sessions through class to class.

→Participation and taking lions share for the commemoration of WED world
environmental day through conducting ceremony and presenting gifts students engaged
in promotion of school environment.
→Organizing nursery preservation program jointly implementing by 6 organizations
SANDAY was the cornerstone in this event
→Empowering the education of women who live in IDPs through 9 months education
program
