Reading We will be practicing the skills of summarizing and pulling the main idea and supporting details from a text. Students will be exploring informational texts along with Cinquain poems. The new vocabulary words are: shimmer, eerie, swallows, climate, silken, lumbering. Writing Students will be working on publishing their own Cinquain poems. Social Studies We will continue our study of New York State history by exploring the many natural wonders found across our state. Science Students will continue to study cells and learn the difference between animal and plant cells. Please anticipate a Science test on Thursday, September 24 th . A study guide will be posted and sent home in folders by midweek. Religion We will explore our important roles as stewards of Gods beautiful creation. Students will be working on a comic in which they are stewards and need to solve a problem affecting Gods creation.
