Page 2 of 6 PP-051-OPS-AMR-e GPS Survey-AGM Placement Specifications Procedure.doc, Rev Fb, Date: 4/2011 COMPANY CONFIDENTIAL 1 Summary Precise surveying of pipeline appurtenances and Above Ground Markers (AGM) locations is required, in support of NDT Systems & Services (NDT) In-Line Inspection (ILI) Inertial Navigation System (INS) Surveys. AGMs may include fixed or deployed magnets and NDT LinaMark Boxes. 2 AGM Placement Requirements AGM points shall be established at specified intervals along the pipeline depending on tool speed, pipeline trajectory (significant bends), to be designed and approved by NDT. AGM locations shall be established with pipeline locators or probes to insure identification of top dead center of the pipeline. These locations shall be staked by client, third party vendor, or NDT in advance of survey operations, clearly marked and labeled. Depth of cover (or height correction from Survey Point to Top of Pipe) should be obtained at all AGM and appurtenance locations by probing or other means consistent with profile accuracy requirements. The following above ground appurtenances shall be surveyed: Mainline valves. Launch-barrel alignment point (to establish initial azimuth of tool). Taps. Tees. Exposed pipe.
In addition to Marker box locations, the following should also be marked and surveyed: Reference AGM 50 to 100 ft (15 to 30 m) downstream (D/S) of Launch Valve. Reference AGM 50 to 100 ft (15 to 30 m) upstream (U/S) of Trap Valve. Reference AGM 50 to 100 ft (15 to 30 m) D/S of all Mainline Valves (if D/S is inaccessible, then may be placed U/S). All AGM point placements shall be subject to NDT Systems & Services approval. 3 Point Naming Convention Each point that is surveyed and/or used as a marker in the ILI-INS survey should be named in accordance to NDTs naming convention. The point names contain a numeric portion followed by a 2- digit Alphabetic character code. ###.###AA
The numeric portion (###.###) is a sequential mile or km measurement from launch to trap. NDT Systems & Services (America) Inc. GPS Survey/AGM Placement Specifications Procedure Document: PP-051-OPS-AMR-e

This is the minimum number of required digits, but there could be more (before the decimal place) to accommodate larger numbers. The 2-digit character code at the end of each name as follows:
4 Preferred Precise Survey Method The survey shall be performed using GPS precise static and/or fast static methods with appropriate supporting equipment (tripods/bipods, ground planes, etc.) and proper general survey practices. A minimum of three (3) GPS receivers will be required, ideally four (4). The receiver shall be: dual frequency, minimum 9 channels and multi-mode operation: Precise Static, Fast Static, and optionally RTK. A network of fixed GPS baseline solutions shall be acquired that provides sufficient redundancy, loop closures, and to provide quality control. Final coordinate accuracy shall be +/- 0.1m for both horizontal and vertical coordinates. 5 Survey Operations Network shall include occupation of at least two independent 3D survey control points of first order accuracy (NGS classification) or combined equivalent. Raw GPS data shall be recorded at each location at 15-second epochs for subsequent baseline processing. Station Occupation:
30+minute sessions (PDOP <3) for baselines >20 km, not to exceed 50 km. 8 to 20 minute sessions for all other baselines <20 km, depending on number of tracked satellites and PDOP. Long baselines (>50km) operations will require longer observation periods: 60+minutes for each established point.
Precise Static AGM control every 20 km on the pipeline, three (3) baselines per station. NDT Systems & Services (America) Inc. GPS Survey/AGM Placement Specifications Procedure Document: PP-051-OPS-AMR-e

Page 4 of 6 PP-051-OPS-AMR-e GPS Survey-AGM Placement Specifications Procedure.doc, Rev Fb, Date: 4/2011 COMPANY CONFIDENTIAL Fast Static methods may be used between the 20 km static points with a minimum of two (2) baselines for each fast static AGM location. Fast Static points require no less than 8 minutes of 6+satellite data, or 20 minutes of 4+ satellite data. These baselines may not exceed 20 km. Offsets are not generally accepted, but only in situations where GPS signal and acceptable PDOP are not possible. Proper (documented) survey methods shall be used to transfer coordinates from an offset point to the target AGM location. Antenna heights shall be recorded to the surveyed point, and documented as such. Depth of burial shall be measured at each survey location as required, to reduce GPS coordinates to pipe center. Survey shall be conducted in WGS84 or adopted satellite datum with published transformations. Only fixed baseline solutions will be accepted, with acceptable baseline RMS and variance values. Survey network shall be tied to survey control every 50km. This shall include horizontal and vertical control ties. A rigorous least squares adjustment shall be performed for all baselines, with both minimally and fully constrained results, to an overall relative accuracy of better than 20 ppm. 6 Survey Summary Requirements The following data should be submitted to NDT for each project: Datum transformation parameters/method WGS84 to Local All raw GPS survey files and survey control information. Geoid Model used in vertical adjustment to obtain Elevations. Height reduction method (probed, pipe locator, estimated, etc.). Report of: Baseline solutions, loop closure, network solution (minimally and/or fully constrained). Also to be included with the survey report for each point: Site sketch showing at least two reference points for the AGM location, and potential relocation if necessary (named to match NDT point naming format). Digital photos of the survey point in J PG format (must be named to match NDT point naming format). Any access notes, permit and/or landowner conditions. NDT Systems & Services (America) Inc. Page 5 of 6 PP-051-OPS-AMR-e GPS Survey-AGM Placement Specifications Procedure.doc, Rev Fb, Date: 4/2011 COMPANY CONFIDENTIAL There is a minimum amount of data required in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, Access Database, CSV file, (or similar) with columns formatted. These formats should be followed explicitly (i.e., no text in a numeric column), and are as follows:
