In English, abbreviations are commonly used in
oral communication as well as in written medical
reports. In Spanish, however, they are generally
only used in written reports.
Las abreviaturas en ingls se usan comnmente
como medio de expresin oral y escrita. En
espaol, las siglas indicadas slo se usan general-
mente en la forma escrita.
Latin expressions (in italics), and abbreviations that
are the same in both languages appear only on the
left (English column).
