Introduction
An Approach to Reading This Book

This book is a continuation of book one and will be part of a series of
devotionals. If you have read the introduction for book one you need not
read any further than this first paragraph, unless you wish to refresh your
memory. As with book one, book two can be used for the purpose of
personal meditation and devotion. Expressions of Definitions Redefined
Series can also be used as a personal Bible study or for a small group Bible
study. When using this book use a good study Bible. You may also want to
use an extensive Bible study website. A list of recommended study Bibles
and sites are at the end of this book.

It is suggested that you ponder the soul searching inventory question first
so that you can keep this question in mind as you read the scripture verses
and poem for the day. It is also recommended to read this book
immediately after your morning prayers, the first part of your day, before
doing anything else. It will take approximately 20 minutes or more to read
the Bible verses and poem for each day.

The soul searching inventory questions may be answered for you while you
are reading but it doesnt stop there. One should continue to ponder the
question throughout the day and ask God to reveal a deeper understanding
to this question as it pertains to your personal walk with Christ. As you
have prayed, expect God to give you an answer. He will if you believe He
will, through the preached word, through a situation or conversation and
through the study of Gods word. Once an idea or thought comes to you,
jot down a brief summary of what God has revealed to you. The last ten
minutes of your day reread the notes youve jotted down and pray before
going to sleep. In total you will have devoted about 30-40 minutes a day in
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

Bible Study, even though your day may have been packed full of other
things to do. This kind of study helps us in our Christian walk, for we can
apply what God reveals to us. You may also want to share your thoughts
and ideas with a close friend or relative or in a small Bible study group to
further expand your understanding of the scriptures.

It is never very beneficial to just go through the motions of reading the Bible
daily without searching for understanding, but when we search for
understanding and ways to apply what we read, God opens up the spiritual
realm into our hearts as we read with a positive mind in faith. We must
examine ourselves each day as we read and look for ways to gain the most
positive results from our personal study. In this book my goal is to help you
to accomplish this if you never have before and to support you if you
already have a solid habit of studying scriptures.

It is amazing that one can study the scripture for a lifetime and never
exhaust another way of perceiving it. It is only because the Bible is the
mind of God, who is infinite and everlasting that we can enjoy years of
rereading the same books in the Bible each and every day for a lifetime. My
prayer is that God richly bless you the reader as you continue your lifelong
habit of daily Bible reading.

Day 1 Soul Searching Inventory: What do you personally consider to be the
beauty of Gods word?
Read: Psalm 119, John 4:7-14, Romans 10:14-15, Hebrews 4:12-13

The Beauty of Gods Word
(Excerpt from Reality in the Spiritual Realm
Written 6/18/10)

Like the rainbow within a waterspout on a sunny day,
The beauty of Gods word glows.
It glows as a living light giving life,
Springing up unto everlasting life.
It is the Living Water, which never runs dry,
The consuming fire, which never destroys us.
It is a two-edge sword,
That destroys the darkness of evil,
And defends the light of truth.

It is altogether beautiful with a spiritual splendor,
And as you gaze into the word with a spiritual eye,
What peace it brings with joy of heart.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

What truth it reveals with comfort to us.
No blemish of evil can be found in it,
No rottenness or cancerous sin,
Only beauty!

The strength of Gods word stands as a rock,
Indestructible and eternal,
Reaching unto every generation,
Of the past, present and future.
The promises of Gods word have been and will be fulfilled.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 11

Day 2 Soul Searching Inventory: Using scripture, list some of the ways in which
you can let Gods light shine through you?
Read: Psalm 50, 90, Luke 8:11-21, 11:20-28, John 1:1-14, John 5:24, Ephesians
6:17, 1Thessalonians 2:11-13, 1Peter 1:21-23

The Beauty of Gods Word Part 2
(6/18/10)

Like the rainbow within a waterspout on a sunny day,
The beauty of Gods word shines.
It shines in truth.
It shines in love.
It shines with Gods holiness,
And shines with Gods thoughts.

The Word of God,
The Holy Ghost,
The Spirit of God,
The Lord in us,
Will only grow from studying the Word.
It is a lamp unto our feet,

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

The light that shines in us,
And can only shine in us,
If we understand then live the Word.

It shines in darkness, in a world of sin.
It shines in light as we worship Him.
It shines in power as we resist the devil.
It shines in love as we show love for others.
Jesus is the light!
Jesus is the Word!
Hes the Word made flesh and the Lord in us.

So let your light so shine before all mankind.
Study the Word,
So the beauty of Gods Word can shine through YOU.

Day 3 Soul Searching Inventory: What are those things you would like to
experience in the Kingdom of God, that you may not have experience yet?
Read: Mark 9:1, Mark 16:16-20, Luke 8:1-10, 9:27, 13:20-30, 17:20-21, 19:11-27, John
3:18, Acts 2:38-42, 8:12, 10:34-48, 1 Corinthians 4:20, 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21

The Kingdom of God
(3/11/12)

What is the kingdom of God?
Roman 4:17 says, For the kingdom of God is not meat or drink but righteousness and
peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

In this world there are many kingdoms.
There are realms of governments which rule people, districts and nations.
The kingdoms are set up by laws which are enforced by the rulers of the
land.
Each kingdom has a boundary which is set up by manmade decrees.
From satellite maps, one can see where one nation ends and another one
begins,
But the kingdom of God extends beyond the natural and cannot be seen in
the material realm,
For we must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of]
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.(John 3:5)

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

We must be baptized in the water in the name of Jesus Christ,
And filled with His Spirit by the sign of speaking out in other tongues,
To enter into the Kingdom of God.

As we enter into the Kingdom of God,
It is experienced in righteousness;
It is exercised in morality, justice and honesty.
It is experienced in peace;
It is exercised in harmony, reconciliation and unity.
It is experienced in joy in the Holy Ghost.
It is exercised in Praise and Worship.
It has no boundaries for the Kingdom of God is in us.
It has no boundaries for the Kingdom of God is in Heaven as well.
It has no end for the Kingdom of God mirrors the holiness of God
And is the presence of His character.

The Kingdom of God has come unto us through the Power of the Holy
Ghost.
The Kingdom of God has come unto us through the Lord Jesus Christ and His
righteousness.
The Kingdom of God has come unto us through Our Father who art in
heaven.
Through the Word of God He rules.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 15

To the People of God He reigns.

In His Majesty we submit to Him Our Father and Our King.
In His Majesty we worship Him we rejoice and dance and sing.

The Kingdom of God is in us as we follow Jesus Christ.
The Kingdom of God is in us as we seek to do whats right.
The Kingdom of God gives us peace in God.
The Kingdom of God grants us joy;
Its the joy which is our strength.
It is a heavenly order established by God Himself,
Revealed by the Word of God,
Received by the Salvation of God through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Day 4 Soul Searching Inventory: In what ways can you apply more wisdom into your
life?

Read: 1 Kings 3:5-14, 4:29-34,10:8-9, 10:23-25, 2Chronicles 1:10-12, 9:1-28,
Job 28:18-28, Psalm 49:1-3, 104:24, 111:10, 136:1-5, Proverbs 1:7, 1:20, 2:9-11, 3:1-24,
4:5-13, 8:1-36, Romans 11:33-36

Wisdom
(11/1/12)
(Paraphrased from Proverbs 8)

When Solomon became king, he did not ask for riches from the Lord,
But instead he asked for Gods wisdom to rule his people, Israel.
With this wisdom, he became the wisest and richest man of his time.
(1 Kings 4:29-34)

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get
understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)
Wisdom cries out as a woman pleading with a dying world.
Her voice, her spirit cries out to every man, woman and child,
Waiting eagerly to give us understanding,
Eagerly to share Gods righteousness with us.

Those who love her, she loves back,
And showers them with the fear of the Lord,
And with the mind to hate evil.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 17

Pride and arrogancy are hated by her,
Yet humility and justice are passionately love by her.
With her fruit we will inherit substance
For those who love Her will prosper.

By wisdom rulers reign with understanding,
And riches and honor follow them.
By wisdom, God created the heavens and earth.
Wisdom was always with God,
She was set up from everlasting and from the beginning says Proverb 8:23.
Before the works of God began, the Lord possessed Wisdom.
Before the heavens were established,
Before the earth was formed,
Wisdom was by Him as one brought up with Him
And rejoiced with God in all of what He created.

Blessed are those that listen to her voice,
That heed to her call,
For wisdom is the principle thing.
Therefore GET WISDOM!

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

He that wins souls has wisdom. (Proverb 11:30)
For with wisdom one can nurture the sin sick soul
And guide them towards the path of life.

By wisdom we will choose the path of life,
Through understanding Gods word.
By wisdom God will grant abundant life,
Through our obedience and His Love.
Hold on to wisdom;
Never leave her side.
For to love Wisdom is to love life,
Yet to hate her is to love DEATH.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 19

Day 5 Soul Searching Inventory: How does the fear of the Lord help you in your
daily walk with Christ?
Read: Job 28:28, Psalm 19:9-14, 34:11-17, Psalm 86:9-13, Proverb 1:7-9, 2:1-11, 9:10, 10:27-

Acts 9:31

The Fear of the Lord
(3/20/12)
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Psalm 111:10)
God is all knowing and all powerful.
If we truly believe this, how can we not fear the Lord?
He knows our every action and hates sin.
How can we even stand before Him?

It is a wise thing to fear the Lord,
For how else would we seek forgiveness?
The fear of the Lord is clean and helps to cleanse our sin sick souls.
How else can Jesus save us from our sins?
We must confess our sins before Him.

The fear of the Lord will make us do what is right in the sight of the Lord.
The fear of the Lord gives us reverence for God so that we can receive His
word.
The fear of the Lord gives us peace with God in that we will obey His word.
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

There is no desperation to them that fear the Lord for he will supply all our
needs.
There is deliverance to them that fear the Lord for the angel of the Lord will
surround them.
They that fear the Lord will depart from evil and do good.
They will seek peace and pursue it.
They will speak no guile but truth.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge says Proverb 9:10
To give prosperity and life to those that love instruction from the Lord.
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Proverbs 14:27

To fear God is to reverence the Lord.
To fear God is to honor the Lord.
To fear God is to Give God the glory
In the things we do and in the things we say.
To fear God is to know that all power is in His hands.
To fear God is to trust the Lord above the capabilities of man.
We fear God for his awesomeness,
A miracle worker is He!
We fear God for His judgment,
How terrible it can be.
We fear God for His mercy,
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 21

How unworthy are we.
We fear God for his loving kindness
Despite the sinfulness He sees.
We fear God for He is God
Creator of you and me.

life?

17, 1Thessalonians 5:16-24, Hebrews 13:20-21, 2 Peter 1:1-2, 2John 1:3

The Peace of God
(12/1/12)
The peace of God passes all understanding,
For we can have peace just trusting in the Lord,
Without really understanding why we do.
With the peace of God we are assured that Christ will take us through.
He takes us through each problem.
We have confidence He will solve them.
He comforts us and loves us.
He delivers for he is just.
The peace of God is like stream waters,
Flowing ever so smoothly,
And even though lifes trials may shake us,
Our peace in God will never break us.

The peace of God is wonderful,
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 23

It calms our minds and hearts.
It makes us happy in our soul
As God holds
Us in His hands.

When the peace of God rules in our hearts,
We are thankful every day.
We can let the Lord have His way
For no fears or doubts can sway
Can sway us from holding Jesus dear to us.
Surely, it is in Him we trust.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

The Holy Ghost Fire Burning
(11/15/12)
When the Holy Ghost fire burns,
It spreads from saint to saint.
It makes us dance and sing.
It makes us shout and jump.
Its called a burning fire
For it kindles from within,
And falls upon us swiftly,
Like a mighty rushing wind.

Keep the Holy Ghost fire burning in your soul.
Keep the Holy Ghost desire burning to keep you whole.
Keep your worship and praise to the God above.
Keep the giving and sharing in peace and love.
Keep your eye on Christ our risen Messiah.
Keep on praising God and lift Jesus higher.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 25

We have a wonderful Savior.
We have a blessed hope.
We have our joy unspeakable,
That helps us to cope,
With the trials of this life,
And with our pains and strife.

We praise our God continually to fan our Holy Ghost.
We trust our God continually for He is the Lord of Host.
He is joy for He is Jesus!
He is God in the flesh.
He is the comforter the Holy Ghost,
Who gives us rest.

Keep the Holy Ghost fire burning in your soul.
Keep the Holy Ghost desire burning to keep you whole.
Keep your worship and praise to the God above.

The Secret Place of the Most High Part 1
(7/26/12)

Sometimes I wish I were a baby again,
Being cradled in my Mothers arms,
Feeling the comfort of never knowing dangers,
And looking into her loving eyes.
It is impossible to go back into our mothers womb.
One can never be an infant again,
But it is never too late to press forward
By dwelling in the secret place of the Most High,
And abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.
Dwell in the secret place of the most High.
Be as comfortable as an unborn child in their mothers womb,
With the everlasting Father,
The great I Am.
Trust in His protection each and every day,
And seek Him as a refuge from dangers along your way.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 27

Magnify the Lord most High each and every day,
And live to the glory of the Father.

Live with the indwelling of the Holy Ghost each and every day.
Yield to Gods will.
Live with the Son of God each and every day
And follow in his footsteps so He will lead the way.

Find your secret closet and commune with Christ.
Find that under Gods wings there is an absence of strife.
Find the secret treasures that only God can give.
Abide under His shadow and in abundance live.

The Secret Place of the Most High Part 2
7/27/12

As we abide in Him he abides in us.
He never leaves us, nor forsakes us.
It is us who must be steadfast never to leave Him.
For he that dwells in the secret place of the Almighty,
Shall abide under His shadow.
They are protected from The Evil one,
And will eternally live.

Abundant Life
Abundant Joy,
Are the intangible things
Which are revealed to Gods children when we hide in Him.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 29

The secret place of the most High is a place the world can never
understand;
Yet thru the secret place of the most High is revealed the promised land,
Of the New Jerusalem in heaven,
Of the unspoken light of truth,
Of the priceless jewels of faith,
Of unspeakable joy and peace,
Of the taste of the treasures prepared for us,
In the glory of the Lord,
Of the oneness of salvation
Through the Love Christ grants to us,
As the Father Son & Holy Ghost
As one
Embraces us.

God?

The Children of God
(5/2/13)

We are the remnant saints lifting up a standard of holiness,
In a world where piousness is considered an evil to eradicate.

We are the Lambs bride.
We are in love with the Holy one of God.

We are pilgrims in a foreign land.
Our birth location is the new birth of the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
It has annexed us into the Kingdom of God.

We are a blessed people, loved by Our Lord & Savior.
We are the people who patiently wait,
For the coming of the Lord draws near.
We are the people who pray in faith
For the miracles we hold so dear.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 31

We are a nation not yet established,
For our ruler will one day reign on earth.

We are as one in the Father and the Son.
That the Holy Ghost has sealed.

We are the people who were grafted into Gods olive vine of the chosen
Jewish faith.
We are the people who know the Messiah.
Jesus is his name and we lift him higher.

WE ARE THE CHURCH,
A building made without hands,
Yet every brick is from every race and from every land.

WE ARE THE CHURCH
Of Jews and Gentiles believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

Day 11 Soul Searching Inventory: What is spiritual light and how does it work
in you?
Read: Genesis 1:1-5, 2:7, Matthew 5:16, John 1:1-14, 9:3-5, 12:25-46, Acts 16-18,
Romans 2:10-20, 5:21, 6:23, 13:11-14, 1 Corinthians 4:5, 2 Corinthians 4:3-7,
Ephesians 5:8-17, Colossians 1:9-14, 1Timothy 6:11-16, 1 John 1:5-10

The Light of Life
(5/19/13)

Jesus said, I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)

When God breathed the breath of life into humankind,
There was also light sustaining the world.
The light is our source of energy.
There is no natural life without light,
And there is no eternal life without walking in the light.
Just as in the natural light, in the spiritual light of God there is no darkness,
But His light leads us into the paths of everlasting life.
Jesus came into the world as the son of God,
And he came into the world as the light of the world shining in the truth of
the Father.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 33

So if we know Jesus, we will also know the Father,
As He shines in a world of darkness,
Where souls neither believe nor understand the greatness of His power,
Nor the comfort of His love.

We who do believe receive the light of the world by following His example.
The light is the life we live with Him.
The light is the word as we dwell with Him.
The light gives us life abundantly.
The light as the Life of Christ,
Gives us peace within.
As we live in the light we are walking in the light,
And live our lives pleasing to Him.
As we live in the light we are walking in the light
As we fight the powers of sin.
As we walk in the light we hide in Christ
And the light Jesus Christ gives us strength.

His light gives us abundant Life.
His light guides us to the truth in Life.
His light opens our hearts and minds.
So we will never be blind,
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

To the path of righteousness.

In Christ is the life of righteousness for all our righteousness is as filthy rags.
(Isaiah 64:6)
In Christ is a life eternal in the light of our glorious God.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 35

Day 12 Soul Searching Inventory: As the apple of Gods eye what function can
you play to serve God?
Read: Deuteronomy 32:1-10, 33:27, Psalm 17:1-8, Proverbs 7:1-4, Lamentations
2:17-22, Zechariah 2:8-13, Luke 11:34, Philippians 4:8, Colossians 2:1-13

The Apple of His Eye
(5/26/13)

We are the apple of Gods eye when we see through the eyes of Christ.
We see the light of God like as the eye sees light and reflects images.
We are a part of Gods plan and He loves us as His very own.
We are precious in the sight of the Lord.
We who are in Christ adore Him and Praise Him.

As the apple of His eye, Let us gaze upon His goodness.
Let us share the love of God as the apple of His eye.
He is our everlasting Father;
He sees and knows all.
He protects us as he guides us to safety,
Into his everlasting arms.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

We will remain the apple of His eye as we let His light shine through us.
We will remain the apple of His eye when the world sees Jesus in us.
Let us live so that the Lord is glorified;
See as He imparts His word to us;
Understand as He gives us wisdom,
As the apple of His eye,
Intimately walking with the Lord,
Meditating on the things that are good and pure.
Let us think on the things that are virtuous and praiseworthy,
Just, and of good report,
Lovely, true and honest,
So that the light of the eye may be full.
Let us be that small reflection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us praise His holy name in the power of His might.
For when we do these things, we who are the apple of Gods eye,
Are complete in Him.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 37

Day 13 Soul Searching Inventory: What does it mean to you to love Christs
appearing?

The Trial of Your Faith
(5/30/13)
In this present life,
....We must through much tribulation to enter into the kingdom of God, (Acts 14:22)
We are filled with adversities on every side.
Our health sometimes fails us,
Our money runs out,
Our relationships sometimes severe,
And the devil sets traps for us so that he might
destroy our souls.

Yet with each and every fiery trial, if were faithful to survive,
We will be found by the Lord Himself unto praise and honor and glory,
At the appearing of Jesus Christ.
Love His appearing. Love His appearing
to be ready for the rapture.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

Love His appearing. Await His appearing.
Go through your trials with faith.
Jesus Christ will return for the faithful and His reward is great!

In persecutions,
In the dangers of this life,
In the strife and discord from the conflicts of this world,
In the sickness of our bodies,
In the grief we must bear,
The trial of our faith is more precious than gold.
FOR WE WILL REIGN WITH JESUS AND HIS BEAUTY WE SHALL BEHOLD!

Day 14 Soul Searching Inventory: What do you need to do to make yourself more
receptive to the leading of the spirit of God?
Read: Mark 16:14-20, Luke 24:46-49, John 3:1-15, Acts 2, 10,

The Fulfilled Promise
(5/20/13)
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man
thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of
living water.
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the
Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (John 7:37-39)

Jesus knew the death that He would die on the cross.
Jesus knew Hed be raised from the dead.
Jesus planned that the Holy Ghost would be His gift
Which true believers would gladly receive.
For out of our bellies comes living waters as the Holy Ghost speaks through
us in other tongues.
It is the living water of His Spirit.

On the day of Pentecost,
When it seemed as if all had been lost,
His spirit descended upon the people of God.
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

Our Lord had been glorified,
And His people are fortified,
With the power of the Holy Ghost.

It descended on us giving strength and joy.
It descended on us giving peace.
It descended on us with abundance of life;
It descended on us in the person of Jesus Christ.
In the victory of Our Risen Savior,
The promise of the Holy Ghost was received.
All in the upper room received the Holy Ghost that day.
They spoke out with other tongues
As the spirit descended upon them.
And all who have received the gift of the Holy Ghost still speak out in other
tongues,
As the spirit of God gives utterance.

In the unity of the Spirit in the Fellowship of the Lord,
HIS SPIRIT NEVER CHANGES!
HIS PROMISE WAS TO ALL!

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 41

We are His people.
We have his spirit.

The Holy Spirit is in us.
The Holy Spirit is upon us.
The Holy Spirit is with us,
Never to leave us nor forsake us.

The Holy Ghost is a gift and a miracle,
With the powerful soul cleansing influence
To transform us day by day.
His blood He shed on Calvary
Made it possible for us to be free.
Christ rose from the dead and ascended up to heaven,
Then poured out His Holy Anointed Spirit to us.
The promise of His Spirit is fulfilled in us,
As the word of God through the prophet Joel said in the second chapter the
twenty-eighth verse, And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my
spirit upon all flesh. (Joel 2:28)

Day 15 Soul Searching Inventory: Do you trust in Gods faithfulness?

Read: Exodus 3:14, Deuteronomy 7:6-9, Psalm 92:1-2, 118:8-9,143:1, Isaiah 25:1,
Hosea 2:18-23, 11:2, 1Corinthians 10:13, Philippians 4:19-20, 1 Thessalonians 5:18-24,

The Faithfulness of God is Great
(5/19/13)
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They
are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
Gods faithfulness is great.
Despite our sins and despite our wicked ways,

He always proclaims truth,
For he cannot lie.
He is just,
It is written, he shall judge the world in righteousness... (Psalm 9:8)
His faithfulness was to the saints of old.
His faithfulness is to the saints today.
His faithfulness reaches to all generations of the past present and future,
For there is no end to Him,
And for His faithfulness,
He is Worthy of our praise!
Hallowed be His name!
He is perfect.
All powerful is He.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 43

His love never fails.
His spirit never dies.
We can forever trust in Him,
For he will do just what he promises.
The promises of God are always sure
For great is His faithfulness.
It is greater than the sea that roars
As the tide goes in and out.
It is greater than the sun that sets
It is greater than the stars that gleam
In the twilight of the night.
It is greater than the love of man.
Even if we do all we can
His faithfulness is greater,
For He is the great I am.

His faithfulness is pure,
For He is holy.
His faithfulness is loving
For He is kind.
He is the God that knows no failure.
And the only true God who is truly God.
In His faithfulness he made the heavens and earth
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

And still sustains them to this very day.
In His faithfulness He heals us, He keep us, He protects us.
He supplies all of our needs.
Even when He brings us down,
He is a true friend;
He sticks around.
We can rely on new mercies each day,
For great is His faithfulness.
He will not put on us more than we can bear,
For His mercy can be found anywhere.
In the faithfulness of God,
We can always be assured
That God knows what is best
And the knowledge of this gives us peace and rest.

In the faithfulness of God
We can put all our confidence.
We can live in Christ with all assurance.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 45

God will do just what he promises to do.
God will be all that we need Him to be.
We can completely put our trust in Him
For Gods faithfulness is great!

Day 16 Soul Searching Inventory: When was the last time you presented yourself before
the Lord with a broken and contrite heart?

Read: 2 Chronicles 7:14, 34:27, Psalm 34:17-19, 51:1-17, Proverb 29:23, Isaiah 57:15-19,
66:1-2, , Matthew 23:11-12, 26:6-13, Luke 7:36-50, 10:38-42, John 11:1-5, 12:1-8, James 4:6-
10, 1 Peter 5:5-7

At The Feet of Jesus
12/20/12

Mary of Bethany, the sister of Lazarus, sat at the feet of Jesus,
Looking up into His eyes,
Catching up the words of God and placing them into her heart.
Tears of repentance poured down her face for her personal sins,
And as she pondered her wicked ways, she began to weep upon His feet
with incomprehensible sorrow,
So much so, she drenched his feet with her tears.
Having nothing else to wipe His feet,
She wiped His dirty feet with her hair,
Not caring who saw her,
And not caring how dirty she would be,
For she realized her sins were far more dirtier.
She had humbled herself at the feet of Jesus
With much faith in His ability to forgive her.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 47

Mary of Bethany was the woman with the alabaster box of oil.
She had received the prophecy of Christs death on the cross.
With a broken contrite heart she felt a deep compassion for Him,
That He would die for her?
She felt as if her heart were bursting with sorrow,
Just knowing His willingness to sacrifice His life.
In response to this revelation she took the most expensive oil she had
and poured the sweet anointing oil upon his head,
For the burial of his body.
Perplexed and heavy in heart she loved Him dearly.
He has raised my brother Lazarus from the dead why must he die? she
pondered.
She knew that He would die for the sins of the world even though he was
without sin.
We are the ones worthy to die, she thought.
She knew and felt just how much Jesus loved her and loves us all.
Yet she was unable to comprehend why and how He could love us so much,
to die a tortuous death on the cross?
As the scent of the sweetest perfumed oil on earth permeated the room
She kissed his feet and again wiped His feet with her hair.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

It was all she could do to express her love by anointing his body with oil in
preparation for His death,
And just as Mary wept with contrite love, and did all she could,
We must weep as we must and love as we must Our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ.

prayer life more pleasing to God?

At The Garden of Gethsemane
(Excerpt from the book My God My Song My Praise)
Written 5/3/83

At the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus walks,
Early in the morning,
Before the crack of dawn,
Before the first bird so sweetly sings:
You are here alone,
Praying and meditating,
Laboring in prayer.
Your sweat is pouring,
pouring,
pouring down
as it were great drops of blood,
as you commune with Your Father in heaven.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

The breeze is blowing as a mother

who so soothingly strokes her new born babe,

As the anguish stirs within you for the times to come.

Jesus! Oh Jesus!
Forgive me Lord.
For so often I have not walked with you in the wee hours of the morning.
Like your disciples in Gethsemane,
I rested on when you wanted me to pray.
Pray! That I might not enter into temptation,
And I Oh I was not ready,
While you walk with anguish and compassion
Knowing
The times to come.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 51

Pray!

Pray!
Pray!

Please pray you say to us!

Pray!

Day 18 Soul Searching Inventory: How has Christs death on the cross affected
you?
Read: Psalm 22:1-18, Isaiah 52:10-15, 53:1-12, Zechariah 12:9-14,
Matthew 24, 27:17-32, Luke 23:13-25, John 16, 18:13-19:27

At the Cross Part 1
(4/17/13)
On the cross was nailed our Savior.
The nails pierced through his hands and feet,
And all the nerves in His hands and feet gave Him excruciating pain.
The crown of thorns upon His head were pressed and beaten into his skull.
Therefore His brain began to swell.
To be able to take a breath he had to lift himself up to allow his lungs to
inhale and exhale,
As the harsh cross rubbed up against His open wounds from the cat of nine
tales,
A whip used to flog Him before He hung upon the cross.

At the cross there were two types of people,
Those onlookers who scoffed and railed Him,
And those that loved and bewailed Him.
The scoffers with hatred and bitterness towards the Messiah,
Shouted out darting words to further add to His torture.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 53

Yet with an everlasting love He prayed, God forgive them for they know not
what they do.
Those who bewailed Him took on the deepest sorrow they had every felt
before.
Weep not for me but weep for your children said He,
For He knew of the future, of the evil times to come.

So the prophecy told to Mary was fulfilled at the cross,
Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,
That the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. (Luke 2:35)
And even though Christ suffered more than any man,
He was able to pray for others and gave His dying last command. (John 19:25-
27)
Woman behold thy son, He said to His mother.
Behold thy mother He said to His disciple.
With this command, the disciple whom Jesus loved,
Took Mary the Mother of Jesus into his own home.

At the cross beside Our Lord two thieves were also crucified,
One on His left side and another on His right.

The first thief to speak railed on Jesus and said,
If thou be Christ, save thyself and us (Luke 23:39)
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

Yet the other with godly fear rebuked his scoffing attitude.
He said, We are crucified justly but this man has done nothing amiss.
Remember me when you enter into your kingdom Lord. (Luke 23:40-41)

For this open confession, Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee,
Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:42)

There were two types of people at the cross,
The lost and those that would be free through His resurrection
power to come.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 55

Day 19 Soul Searching Inventory: What has Christs death redeem you from?
Read: Matthew 27:33-66, Mark 15:22-47, Luke 23:26-54, John 3:16-19, 19:25-42,
Ephesians 2:11-18, Colossians 1:12-22, Titus 2:11-15

At the Cross Part 2
(4/17/13)

At the Cross over Christs head was posted the accusation for His
punishment,
In Greek, Latin and Hebrew for the entire world to see.
THIS IS JESUS OF NAZAARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
They scoffed and made a mockery of him hanging on the cross horribly
abused.
From the sixth to the ninth hour the light of the sun was refused.
For Jesus paid our sentence for the sins of the world.

The pain was just too much, he cried out in agony.
My God My God why has thou forsaken me?(Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34)
He lifted up his voice again and cried,
Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit.
Then He gave up the ghost and died. (Luke 23:46)

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

All the earth began to quake and the vail of the temple rent in two
The rocks cracked as if glass,
And the saints that were dead arose for people in the holy city to view.
Many people feared God greatly that day for they realized they had
crucified the Son of God.

At Golgotha by the cross, the centurions check each body to make sure each
man was dead.
But rather that breaking the legs of Christ they pierce a sword through His
side instead.
Out of His side came water and blood. He had no more blood to shed.
At the cross He shed all His blood for us for remission of our sins.
At the cross He has redeemed us so that we might be born again.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 57

Day 20 Soul Searching Inventory: Do you believe in the death, burial and resurrection of
Jesus Christ? Why or why not?

Read: Psalm 16:9-11, Matthew 27:50-54, Luke 14:12-14, John 3:16-21, 5:22-29, 11:6-45,
Acts 13:26-30, Romans 1:1-8, 6:1-5, 1Corinthians 15:12-58, Philippians 3:10-15,
Revelation 1:1-5, 20:1-15

At the First Resurrection

5/19/13

Jesus is the Resurrection for He is the first fruits from the dead.

He died as a man yet rose as the King of kings and Lord of lords,

never to die again.

When Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days

I will raise it up. (John 2:19)

He spoke of the temple of His body. (John 2:21)

It was a promise that He would rise again and on the 3rd day of His death He did.

The earth did quake and rolled away the stone upon His tomb.

He is not here: for He has risen as He said, said the Angel of the Lord. (Matthew 28:5-6)

Yes He has risen to die no more!

Yes He has risen so you and me could rise with Him in newness of life.

We have become new creatures.

With a new way of thinking and a new way of walking,

We have been redeemed from the curse of sin and death.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

We fight against the old man within ourselves,

The old man of the sins we used to do.

We die daily so that we can be found worthy,

Worthy enough to make the first resurrection.

In Christ we will rise whether dead or alive to receive a glorious body.

Yes He has risen so we can rise with Him and our bodies can be changed.

In a moment in a twinkling of an eye we shall all be changed.

Because Christ lives we live and shall live as a resurrected being.

Our bodies will be changed to be just like His.

No more blood, no more sickness, no more dying, any more.

It will shed off mortality and be given immortality.

Death will be swallowed up in victory,

When we will be part of the first resurrection.

It is a mystery how these things could ever be.

But mortality will take on immortality,

Thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1Corinthians
15:57)

Day 21 Soul Searching Inventory: How can Jesus help you in the hour of your
temptation?
Read: Psalm 110, Matthew 22:42-46, Mark 16:19-20, Luke 20:41-44, 22:67-71,
Acts 2:32-36, 7:54-60, Romans 8:28-34, Colossians 3:1-4, Hebrews 2:8-18, 10:10-23,
12:1-2, 1Peter 3:18-22

At the Right Hand of God
(4/17/13)

At the right hand of God the prince of peace sits.
He sits as the Son of Man and a high priest ever making intercession for us.
He sits beside the almighty throne of God as the only begotten son of the
Father.
He sits at the right hand of God,
In the strength and power of His might as our glorious Savior.
He sits as the word made flesh,
Having died once for the sins of the world.

At the right hand of God Jesus Speaks.
He speaks in prayers of intercession and reconciliation,
For the trespasses of the children of God.
He speaks and commands the blessings of the Lord to fall upon His people.
He speaks to succor those who are tempted,
So that they may live in righteousness.
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

At the right hand of God, Jesus now resides,
For the victory He has won,
When he was crucified as Gods son.
He suffered this punishment in our stead,
And then he arose up from the dead.
He snatched the keys to death hell and the grave.
He is now revealed as the ancient of days.

At the right hand of God Jesus stands.
He stands as a true foundation,
And our High Priest,
Representing the Everlasting Father.

Day 22 Soul Searching Inventory: How has sin affected your life?
Read: Genesis 2, 3:1-24, 4:1-15, Psalm 49:1-20, Romans 3:23, 5:12-21, 1 Corinthians 15:21-
22, 2 Corinthians 11:1-4, 1 Timothy 2:13-15

At the East of the Garden of Eden
(11/5/12)
At the East of the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were put out,
And a flaming sword with Cherubims blocked the entrance to keep them away
from the tree of Life.
If Adam were to try to enter back in from the West they turned to the West.
If Eve were to try to enter back in from the South they turned to the South.
To the East or to the North, to the South or to the West,
The Cherubims turned every which way to keep them out.
It was a solemn day for both of them to realize the curse for them would not be
reverse.
The tree of life was now forbidden and suffering and death became their sentence,
For sin had settled in.

At the East of the Garden of Eden is where the enforcement of our sentence for
disobedience began.
Adam and Eve were given animals skins for a covering for God still had mercy on
them and knew once out of the garden they would need a covering.
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and
now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever,
(Genesis 3:22)
He sent them forth from the garden to till the ground.
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

For man was created from the dust of the ground and would go back into the dust
from which he came.
No longer was the garden their home.

They could only look back with sorrow and longing as they remembered,
That it was a place of peace and beauty.
The flowers and trees grew on their own without even being planted.
The animals never killed but lived together in peace.
The food was plucked from any tree
And only the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was forbidden.
The weather was just right and storms were never heard of,
And most of all they were in the presence of Gods love and protection.
They could hear and understand the voice of God without any condemnation.
All this became only a memory.
As they struggled to live in a world of death and violence,
A world separated from the God they once knew.

At the East of the Garden of Eden the gate was shut to them forever,
While they lived and died on earth.
Every man and woman has inherit this curse at birth.
For as it is written, Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. (Job
14:1)

Day 23 Soul Searching Inventory: How has Gods word impacted your life?
Read: Genesis 1, Numbers 20:22-29, Joshua 10:12-14, 1 Chronicles 16:8-15,

At His Word it is Done
(4/15/13)
At Gods Word Moses obeyed God and brought his brother Aaron and his nephew
Up to the Mount of Hor,
Where God took Aarons life for disobedience,
And appointed Eleazar his son as the new priest,
For all Israel to see.
At His Word the earth was created,
And the galaxies.
At Gods Word it is done and His will shall not be changed.

At His Word the mountains move.
At His Word the devils tremble.
At His Word the saints rejoice.
At His Word the time stood still.
At His Word it is done and His will shall not be changed.

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

At Gods Word the great fish spewed out the prophet Jonah
to escape unto dry land.
At His Word he will deliver us and stretches out His mighty hand.

The infinite God only speaks the word and all authority must submit.
We serve a mighty powerful God
And to His sovereignty we gladly admit.
For at His Word it is done and His will shall not be changed.

In the beginning was the word. (John1:1)
His word will not be changed.
The word was with God and the word was God. (John 1:1)
And the word spoke out to man,
And the word speaks out to man,
And the word became flesh (John 1:14)
In the person of Jesus Christ
And His Words came forth in all Gods power
For His Words are Gods Word.

At His Word He turned the water into wine.
At His Word the storms do cease.
At His Word he heals the sick.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 65

And from the possessed, demons are released.
At His Word it is done and His will shall not be changed.

Day 24 Soul Searching Inventory: From time to time, what has happened to you when
you found yourself in disobedience?
Read: Numbers 14, 20:7-13, Deuteronomy 31:14-30, Psalm 95, 103, Acts 7:17-44, 1
Corinthians 10:1-14, Hebrew 3, 9:27, 10:1-9

At the Waters of Meribah Kadesh
(4/18/13)
There at the last living fellowship with the Lord,
Moses Communed with God on the Mount of Nebo.
It was a bittersweet communion,
For it was here the Lord revealed to him
That he would not enter the Promised Land;
For it was time for him to die.

For forty long years he strove with and lead a wayward people,
Only to be able to see the Promised Land from afar;
And now his journey was to end.
He was tired and angry with this unruly people,
To the point where he did not heed the Lord,
But began to act on his own accord,
Without the leading of the Lord.

At the Waters of Meribah Kadesh,
Moses knew that the children of Israel
Would corrupt their ways after his death.
It grieved his spirit very much,
Yet there was nothing he could do.
He would take it upon himself if he could,
But God would not put on him more than he could bear.
For the very thought of Gods rebellious people Israel, caused Moses to err.

Moses smote the rock not honoring Gods command.
It was time for him to go before a greater sin in his life began.

So God let him see that beautiful Promised Land,
But he never entered in but rested,
With his people and God in death.
For at the waters of Meribah Kadesh he faltered
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 67

And trespassed against the Lord in the wilderness of Zin.
Yet the great works of Moses has never been forgotten despite his trespass.

At the crosscurrents of our own lives
There are sometimes waters of Meribah Kadesh.
They are waters of strife and dissent,
Where the pressure seems too much to bear.
Where we take our minds off of the leading of God
And rely on ourselves to lead with our hearts
And fall into sin.

It may change the course of our lives.
It may change the outcome of our trials,
Yet within this crosscurrent,
God keeps us and remembers that we are dust.

At the Waters of Meribah Kadesh,
God did not put upon Moses more that he could bear,
But blessed him to leave this world in peace.

Day 25 Soul Searching Inventory: How have you changed since you confessed that
Jesus Christ is Lord?
Read: Isaiah 9:6-7, Zechariah 12, Philippians 2:1-16, Colossians 2, 1 John 1, 2, 5:1-12,
2 John 1:1-10, Revelation 1:6-20, 5:5-14

At The Name of Jesus
(4/16/13)
.at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth,
and [things] under the earth; And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)
There is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved other than the
name of Jesus, (Philippians 4:10-12)
For one day every eye shall see him and worship Him for who He truly is.
(Revelations 1:7)
He is the faithful witness and the first begotten from the dead. (Revelations 1:5)
He is the only begotten of the Father,
As the Father and Holy Ghost in one,
When the power of God overshadowed Mary
And became the word made flesh.

At the name of Jesus all will one day know He is King.
All heaven and earth will proclaim His worth as Lord and worship Him.
At the name of Jesus, Satan trembles.
At the name of Jesus many are healed.
At the name of Jesus the spiritual church prevails,
For the name of Jesus never fails.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 69

Jesus, he that calls upon his name shall be saved.
Jesus, he that believes in his name shall be saved.
Jesus, he that obeys his commandment is His friend.
There is power in His name
And at His name our tongues confess
That He is the Messiah,
The Savior of us all.
Who will set up His Kingdom
In the New Jerusalem never to fall.

Day 26 Soul Searching Inventory: What are the sacrifices you need to make to be able to
be closer to the Lord?
Read: Deuteronomy 6, 7:6-9, 12:17-18, 14:22-26, 16:1-6, 26:1-4, 31:1-13, Psalm 4, 25:1-12,
27:6-8, 47, Nehemiah 12:43-47, Mark 12:29-34, Philippians 2:1-8, Hebrew 13:10-16

At the Place Which the Lord thy God Shall Choose
(4/16/13)
But at the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name, there thou shalt
sacrifice (Deuteronomy 16:6)
That place which the Lord thy God chooses, is a place where His name is glorified,
In the truth of the word,
In the light of God,
In the beauty of holiness,
In the power of praise.

That place which the Lord thy God will choose is where the saints love the Lord,
With all their hearts,
And with all their minds,
With all their souls as well.

It is a place to give the sacrifices of praise,
To praise His holy name.
It is a place where the Holy Spirit can be free,
To magnify his name for the entire world to see.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 71

It is a place where a standard of holiness prevails,
Where the saints will gladly proclaim that GOD NEVER FAILS.

It is a place where Gods miracles pour out in all abundance.
It is a place where the Lord Thy God will gladly choose to use
As a place to fellowship in the Spirit,
As a place to be unified in prayer,
As a place of giving and sharing,
As a place of love and peace,
As a place to teach and learn the truth,
Of Gods thoughts within His Word.
This is a place that God will choose to use.
He will choose to use what fulfills His will,
To fight the powers of darkness.
He will choose to use what fulfills His will
To bring down the strongholds of sin.
He will choose to use a faithful Church
Worshiping and abiding in Him.

Day 27 Soul Searching Inventory: What spiritual benefits have you gained through
suffering?
Read: Job 1, 2, 42, Romans 8:35-38, 1Peter 5:6-14

At the Mighty Hand of God
(4/17/13)
Satan came to present himself before the Lord,
To gain permission to afflict Job.
His plot was to cause Job to curse God and die.
Yet Job patiently went through all the evil he received.

When his wife advised him to curse God and die,
Instead he faithfully replied,
Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? Shall we receive good at the hand
of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. (Job 2:10)

At the Hand of God Job received evil,
Yet never held bitterness against the Lord.
He trusted God despite his blight.
He held on to his faith.
For life is filled with goodness,
And life is filled with hate.
It is the hate that Satan has for us,
Relentlessly he hates;
But can only do what is allowed,
By the mighty Hand of God.

At the Hand of God Job was blessed,
With wealth and with his health,
And his honor amongst his people was great.
At the Hand of God Job was cursed,
Yet passed the test of endurance, trust and faith.

God trusted in Job and knew he would win,
Against Satans plot to destroy him.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 73

God trusted in Job and knew he would win,
And blessed him even more in the end.

At the Hand of God we will not only receive good but evil as well.

But why?

Will we learn to exercise our faith if no evil comes our way?
Will we understand the paths of righteousness if we have no choice to choose?
Will we appreciate our blessings if we never have some we lose?

Will we know Him as deliverer if were never bound in sin?
Will we know Him as a healer without sickness found within?
Will we know Him as the one that we can completely trust,
If we never lost that thing we thought most important to us?

So in this life we know, that at the Hand of God,
Yes we shall receive good but we shall receive evil as well.

The test is in how we receive the evil and the good.
It reveals to us our hearts and where we stand with God.
It reveals to us our minds and what we think of God.
It reveals to us our souls and shapes our destiny.

Satans goal is to destroy us,
To turn our hearts away from our Great and Faithful God.
But although it may seem as if God has left our side.
Like Job we are able in God to abide.
Despite our dismay
Like Job are you able to say?
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him (Job 13:15)

God is able to turn our evil into good.
For at the Hand of Our Mighty God,
He sees beyond our frail and troubled lives,
Into our eternity.
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

Day 28 Soul Searching Inventory: In the past few weeks what have you set your
affections on?

Read: Psalm 40:5, Isaiah 55, Matthew 6:19-21, 2Corinthians 1:21-22, 4:13-18, Ephesians
1:10-23, 4:29-30, Colossians 3:1-14

At the Things Which Are Not Seen
(4/27/13)

At the things which are not seen,
Are the things we look unto,
So that we can store our heavenly treasures in heaven.
The things which are not seen by the eyes of man,
Are the things which are eternal.

They cannot be touched with our hands or feet.
They cannot be analyzed with our minds.
Or researched thoroughly with our books,
For the things which are not seen
Are the heavenly and not of earth.

Far beyond the stars or any galaxies we may see,
Holding the universe,
The eyes of God are watching us,
Protecting you and me.

At the things which are not seen,
Are the things we cannot explain.
Yet within our souls we know
There is more to life than meets the eye,
And creation within itself declares an intelligent design.
At the things which are not seen,
Neither moth nor rust corrupts.
They are the things that never rot.
They are the things the world has not.
They are the things of God we cherish,
So spiritually we can grow and flourish.

What are the heavenly things which only God can give?
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 75

They are the things that no man could ever steal.
They are treasures of Gods wisdom and knowledge,
And riches of His understanding.
They are treasures of love and peace,
The kind that only God can give.
They are treasures of true joy,
And treasures of true happiness.
They are treasures of His glory,
The glory of the Lord!
They are treasures of salvation,
To be ever with the Lord.

They are treasures of redemption,
From destruction of the soul.
They are treasures of the rapture,
For heaven is our goal.

The things which are not seen,
Are the things which God reveals,
Through the power of the Holy Ghost,
Which is our very seal.

It is the seal that confirms us into the heavenly realm.
It is the seal that welcomes us into unspeakable joy and peace.
At the things which are not seen,
Are the things indescribable.
For the things which are not seen,
The spiritual eye unfolds.

Seek those things which are above
For at the spiritual things which are not seen,
You will discover more of Gods love.

Day 29 Soul Searching Inventory: How do you react when being challenged or even
threatened in some way concerning your belief?
Read: Exodus 14, Joshua 6:1-17, 1 Samuel 17, Esther 8, Daniel 3

At the Sound of the Cornet
(5/2/13)

At the sound of the cornet
And all sorts of musical instruments,
The three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
Were ordered to bow to the image of gold.
The great King Nebuchadnezzar demanded worship from Man,
But one thing he didnt understand,
There was a true God that the three Hebrew men were faithful to,
The mighty God who is all powerful and true.
He is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac the God of Jacob too.
He is Creator of the ends of the earth.

At the sound of the cornet, they refused to bow,
They had chosen the God above.
At the sound of the cornet, the three Hebrew men,
Refused the Kings Command.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 77

They chose rather to die if they must,
Than to put their trust in gold.
They refused to bow at the sound of the cornet, the flute,
The harp and sackbut.
They refused to bow at the psaltery or the dulcimer.

King Nebuchadnezzar was furious that they would not worship
The image of him!
He ordered the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than ever.
Then he ordered His soldiers to bind their hands and feet and thrust them
Into the fiery furnace.
who [is] that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? He said in Daniel 3:15.

Into the fiery furnace the soldiers bound them up and thrust them in.
They made such haste,
To thrust them in that his soldiers were engulfed in the flames;
And as King Nebuchadnezzar watched these Hebrew men who he expected would
burst into flames,
He could hardly believe his eyes.
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have
no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.(Daniel 3:25)

Not a hair on their heads was singed,
Not a fiber of their clothes were burned,
Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

Their God was with them,
Their God had delivered them.
[Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed [be] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him Says
Daniel 3:28.

King Nebuchadnezzar released and promoted the men and ordered all to respect
The God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
No one was allowed to speak against their God.
For he realized,
That their God
Is a great God who delivers His servants who trust in Him.

God delivers His servants that trust in Him.
God delivered His servant David out of the hands of the Giant Goliath
God delivered the children of Israel drowning Pharaoh and his army in the
Red Sea.
God delivered the Hebrew people using the Queen Esther,
When Haman plotted their demise.
God delivered the harlot Rahab and her family from the destruction of Jericho.
In each and every circumstance they put their trust in God.
They resisted bowing to the enemy
They did not give up or flee.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 79

They defied the powers of darkness.
They received the victory.

At the sound of the cornet
For the battle of our souls,
Those who put their trust in God
Shall see the power that God holds.

Day 30 Soul Searching Inventory: What signs have you seen today that mark this
generation as the end times?
Read: Job 7:1-3, 14:1-14, Psalm 79:8-13, Daniel 8:17-27, 10:7-21, 12, Habakkuk 2:1-4,
Hebrew 9:27, 2Peter 3, Revelation 6
At the Time Appointed
(4/16/13)
And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation for
at the time appointed the end shall be. (Daniel 8:19)
No man knows the day or hour when this world shall end.
There will be wars and rumors of wars,
Earthquakes and stars falling down to earth,
But these are only signs,
That the coming of the Lord is nigh.

Daniel saw a vision that made him sick to see.
He could hardly describe it.
Incredulous was he;
But at the time appointed by God,
The end shall be.

Perilous times are here, (2 Timothy 3:1-7)
Men are lovers of themselves.
They are proud and boasting
But at the time appointed by God,
The end shall be.

Violence floods the world.
Peace is so difficult to find.
Yet all this is a warning of Gods appointed time.

It will be a time of judgment
And grace will disappear.
It will be a time of wickedness,
As a time of judgment draws near.
During the time of Noah,
Judgment came as a flood.
But when judgment comes next time,
Fire will rain from above.
Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 81

It will be a time of disbelief
Even though we all are warned.
We forget our time is not Gods time,
His judgment comes like a rushing storm.

Jesus warned of a time like the times we are in.
Swiftly the time appointed of the end will rush in.

It will be too late at the time appointed to worship God in truth.
It will be too late at the time appointed to worship God in faith.
It will be a time of darkness that even the world will hate.

The way of escape is here right now.
God stretches out His hand.
So do not be deceived.
For at the time appointed by God the end shall be.

Day 31 Soul Searching Inventory: Are you ready for the rapture? What are the things
you need to do to be or stay ready for the rapture?
Read: Matthew 24:35-46, 25:1-30, Mark 13, Acts 2:36-38, 1 Corinthians 15:51-58, 1
Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 2:19-29, 3:10-13, 3:20-22, 7:9-17

At the Last Trump
(4/16/13)

At the last trump
The last trump
At the last trump
The last trump

The dead in Christ shall rise
In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye.
The dead in Christ shall rise
In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye.

We shall be raised incorruptible
When the last trump shall sound.
Jesus will catch us up
When the last trump shall sound.

Jo Ann Schehr Fashina 83

At the last trump
The last trump

At the last trump
The last trump

The children of God
Will be caught up to be ever with the Lord.

The children of God
Will be caught up to be ever with the Lord.

We must watch and pray

To be found worthy on that notable day,

When the last trump shall sound.

When the last trump shall sound,
One will be taken, one will be left.

One will be taken and one will be left,

Expressions of Definitions Redefined Book 2

When the last trump shall sound.

When the last trump shall sound

By an Angel of the Lord

The true Church will be removed

And the tribulation period will begin.

At the last trump,
The last trump,
At the last trump

The last trump

The dead in Christ shall rise.
