Honeyell Digital Video 1anager. Cameras can be located

of analog video e,uipment. Video is digiti+ed using
standard video streaming devices and t"en can be vieed
in real*time at any EBI Station. :ecording of cameras can
be activated on demand or you can lin! recording to
events on any EBI point. 1ost importantly, t"e pre*record

recording database can easily be searc"ed to find t"e rig"t

custom displays, enabling one operator to vie many parts

analog CC/V systems or from Honeyell=s Digital Video

EBI can integrate intranet or Internet pages into your
custom displays, enabling EBI data to be matc"ed it"

company policies and procedures. Alternatively, data from
EBI can be integrated into your company intranet,
providing building occupants it" live data regarding t"eir
comfort or ot"er facility information. All suc" access can be

If an operator continually attempts to sign on to an EBI

In EBI, it is possible to restrict and control "at activity
operators can perform by giving t"em different security
levels. /"e system supports si) different levels of operator
security.
In addition to t"is, EBI incorporates control levels to limit
manual control of doors, loc!s or sensors. .nly operators
it" appropriate control levels can issue commands to
t"ese points. EBI can also restrict t"e commands an

include a description, condition, message, time of
occurrence, and responsible operator.
/"e system event file stores event data in an on*line
buffer. It is possible to store as many events as necessary
JsubAect only to dis! space on t"e server. 0"en t"e on*
line buffer becomes full, EBI transfers t"e event data to an
arc"ived buffer and notifies t"e operator to save t"e file to
e)ternal media. /"e on*line buffer can continue to store
events it"out interruption. An operator can retrieve
current or arc"ived system event data for use on*line or in

Access !evels
In order to specify access re,uirements, card"olders are
assigned up to eig"t access levels. Eac" access level
consists of a number of /ime 6eriod and Eone pairs t"at
specify "ic" parts of t"e facility card"olders are able to
access at "ic" times. -or e)ample, one access level may
define access to t"e Car 6ar! +one for 2' "ours and t"e
.ffice +one during business "ours. .nly aut"ori+ed users
can c"ange Access $evel assignments, must t"en be
donloaded to t"e access controllers. Access $evel
c"anges do not ta!e effect until t"e data is donloaded.
Access events are generated every time a card"older uses
an access card to attempt to get t"roug" a door. Access
event entries include t"e date, time, door, and card"older
"o attempted t"e access, and "et"er access as
granted or denied. If access as denied, an associated
message indicates t"e reason.
Elevator Control
EBI can control access to different floors of t"e building
t"roug" elevator control. Elevators can be sc"eduled to
provide general access during t"e day and restricted
access after "ours. 0"en access is restricted, card"olders
must be validated by using a card reader in t"e elevator
prior to access being successfully granted. -loors and
elevators can be lin!ed to access control +ones and
access levels.
S$ift Manageent
S"ift management is an option t"at allos t"e access
levels of a group of card"olders to be automatically
c"anged on a periodic basis. /"is is particularly useful for
s"ift or!ers "o may "ave a period of nig"t s"ift, folloed
by day s"ift, folloed by time off. EBI is sop"isticated
enoug" to manage t"ese c"anging access re,uirements,

Access cards can be used to control after*"ours lig"ting
and air*conditioning, or any ot"er EBI points. 0"en a
card"older presents an access card to designated readers,
t"e lig"ts and air*conditioning ill stay on for a

"ours, so it does not interfere it" normal HVAC
programming. /"is is an important feature "ic" assists in
reducing costs and improving environmental management

Asset $ocator provides t"e ability to immediately identify
"ere !ey "ig"*value assets are in t"e facility. By
integrating t"e latest tec"nology in I: and :- tagging, EBI
can trac! your valuable assets as t"ey move around t"e
facility. All t"at is needed are t"e asset tags and a number
of detectors t"at are easily installed into t"e ceiling of t"e

An operator can find a piece of e,uipment by calling up a
custom display t"at s"os t"e layout of t"e building and
t"e location of t"e asset. Cameras can also be triggered to
follo t"e asset as it moves.
If assets move out of t"e detector=s vie, t"en alarms can
