Key Strengths: Expert in C, CUDA, FORTRAN, MPI, Linux Summary M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. Experience in HPC Environment. Ability to work in Parallel Computing.
Professional & Research Experience
Assistant Professor, July 2012 Present Sanjeevan Engineering and Technical Institute (SETI), Panhala, Kolhapur.
Research Project Intern(M.Tech Project), September 2011 April 2012 Computational Research Laboratories Limited (CRL), Pune, India. Worked on a project in "High performance computing", titled Acceleration of Weather Research and Forecast (WRF) Model using GPGPU. The aim of project was to port physics modules of WRF over GPGPUs. In a project an incremental approach was presented to port scientific applications like WRF over GPGPUs. Three Physics Modules (WSM3, YSU and RRTM) of WRF are ported over GPGPU using CUDA C. The project shows the promise of this approach by demonstrating a nearly 32x speedup for WSM3, 4x speedup for YSU and RRTM Module of Weather Research and Forecast(WRF) model on a variety of NVIDIA Graphics Processing Units(GPU). Integration of these modules accelerates the whole WRF model by 1.31x. Tools and Technologies Used: CUDA, FORTRAN, C, MPI, Linux, CUDA Compute Visual Profiler, Vampir, GPGPU- Tesla C1060, GTX275. Responsibilities: Profiling of WRF model. Porting of individual physics modules to GPU. Integration of ported modules back to WRF Model.
