Color Separations is a software module with tools specifically designed to get the color separation and cleaning job done quickly and
efficiently. This design module has a fast, easy, intuitive, and visual method of producing perfect color separations and powerful
automatic cleaning functions. It is specifically designed to facilitate intuitive point and click visual selections.

We have researched hundreds of methods of color separation techniques. This research has now paid off in the development of a
number of the quickest and most accurate ways of separating scanned images into the number of colors that you will be using in your
apparel and textile production. Best of all, the program will automatically "clean up" your work. In minutes your designs will be in
"print perfect" condition, ready to be manipulated in graphic design software.



The new generation of quick, inexpensive desktop and larger scale scanners now
allows you to import designs directly into Color Separations. To translate these raw
scans into a usable form for design and accurate re-coloring, CAD artists will need to color separate the scan into a specific number of
color channels. Four color (CMYK) process separations, standard to the graphic arts industry, are not applicable to most textile and
wall-covering manufacturing applications.
So, simply choose one of our unique separation techniques, and the program will
immediately let you see how the color-separated design will look, before you have

TUKAstudio - Weaves

Powerful tool to make check and stripe designs in multiple weaves structures.
Weaves allows the fabric designer to quickly design plaids, yarn dyes, dobby patterns, and weave effects.

The number of threads and colors can be easily defined. Stripe patterns can be easily created in the warp and/or weft either thread-by-
thread or by inch with the help of a ruler. Up to 1,000 picks and ends can be used. The user is able to draw in balanced mode in the
warp and weft by designing in automatic repeat and even sub-repeats within the main design.
Up to 32x32 custom weaves can be easily developed on point paper and instantly previewed. A large assortment of over
500 weaves can be applied to your design by accessing the Weave Atlas Library (a full reference library of weaves to
visually browse through) and selecting the weave pattern of your choice.

TUKAstudio - Colorways

Create hundreds of colorways in just minutes!
Instantly create hundreds of product colorways using standard codes or your own seasonal palettes with various color standards in
TUKAstudio's Colorways module. Colorways allows the user to create hundreds of colorways in just minutes.
This module offers you the option of working with a calibration scheme, or with generic monitor and printer profiles, to better match the
colors on your screen with the colors of your printouts.
Owing to the multi-project capable Windows architecture, the user can keep several different projects on-screen at a time and
transfer colors instantaneously between them. This transfer option allows the user to work on a complete line of prints, for
example a particular season, without having to recreate the color palette. The palette of each colorway appears just below the
associated image.

Colors can be chosen from the Color Channels or Color Chart. Other options available include color mixer, color gradations, color adjuster,
and color grouping. Color grouping is a great function for locking colors together to keep the hue, saturation, and value constant in the
entire group while changing only one color in the group.

TUKAstudio - Jacquards

Powerful tool to make jacquard designs in multiple weave structures.
The Jacquards Module has drawing tools to create designs from scratch, or make adjustments to existing designs that have been
processed through Color Separation and Cleaning.

It also handles projects in terms specific to Jacquard terminology. Motifs can be brought in through the motif base, similar to Repeats,
modified and then resaved for use in other Jacquard or Design files. The user can adjust project settings either independently, or use
the Easy Jacquard Wizard to modify them in a simple and intuitive way.

New Features & Enhancements

3D Intergration
TUKAcad and TUKAstudio are now fully integrated with E-Fit Simulator by TUKA. The TUKAdesign program comes pre-loaded with
libraries of graded 3D Basic Block Patterns for Women, Men, and Children with different body types. The Styles have been pre-stitched
and pre-draped in cotton muslin fabric and are ready for modification in CAD with live updates to E-fit.
Fabric designs can be quickly modified or created like the changing of repeats, adding motifs to a print, rescaling images, creating knits and weaves, creating multiple
colorways, etc. in TUKAstudio. Then these modified prints can be easily applied to the 3D garments in E-fit.

Notch Tool Enhancements
The Notch dialog has been greatly improved in many aspects for both Pattern Makers and Graders. All Attributes for the notch are now
visible on one layer.
1. You will now see all distances (Proportionally, From Previous, From Next Point) for every size in the dialog.
2. You may now copy and paste measures from the fields in Measure Dialog or any Excel Fields into the fields of the new Notch Dialog.
3. Notching seam corners has been improved for custom corner shapes.
4. Incremental size breaks can now be auto applied to grade notches.

Data Management in Windows Explorer
All Style and Marker files can be easily managed by a non- CAD user via Windows Explorer. All files contain summary information in
the Thumbnail view, and all standard Windows functions can be used. Multiple files can be plotted, updated, converted to different
formats, and pattern cards can be generated as a BATCH Command. This eliminates having to create custom batch files. Batch
processing does not require the program to be opened or any special software to be used.

Improved handling of Program Resources
TUKAcad applications now launch faster and can accommodate multiple styles opened simultaneously provided your computer has
updated recommend specs by TUKATECH.

Half Size Grading
You can easily insert new sizes in-between existing sizes and the system will divide all grading in half. The half size grading feature is
extremely convenient to produce sizes fast and automatically (i.e. 38, 38 , 39, 39 , 40, 40 ) without having to edit any current
rules.

Shrinkage Factor
New option added to the Scale & Shrink dialog to add values to the patterns based on the actual fabric shrinkage proportional to
100%.

Guideline Perpendicular
New option in the Segment Menu lets you create a single or multiple Guidelines perpendicular to the selected point(s) on a piece.

Dart Enhancements
The Dart Tool has now be enhanced so that multiple commands such as create dart, move dart, pivot dart, and Fix dart can all be done
using one Tool. The functions have greatly reduced the amount of steps in dart manipulation.

Join Pieces
This tool has been simplified to remove seams along the joined segments and user can pick start and end points of uneven segments.

Pleat Tool
This tool has been enhanced in order to create any pleat opened or closed with one tool. The tool also has option to create parallel
pleats along a segment. Every pleat is automatically configured to stitch and fold when transferred to E-Fit Simulator which greatly
reduces the prep work for simulation of pleated garments.

Piece List
The Piece list will now display multiple line descriptions in the description field. This will also show in the Pattern Card as well.

Move Along Tool
This tool was combined with the Move Point along Segment Dialog. The user has many more options to move a point along the contour
while seeing the distances all in one dialog.

Rotate Piece/Contour Enhancement
This tool now has quick angle buttons and an incremental apply button added to the dialog. Now you can rotate from a point
incrementally until confirmed.

Plotting Enhancements
The Plotting dialog now lets you configure any plotter/cutter settings profile and saves this information independently for each device.
No need to switch plot /cut options when changing from one device to another. User login info can also be plotted as a footer at the
end of each plot file or even added to each pieces description when plotting from TUKAdesign. Darts and Pleats have different notch
options for plotting in both Design and Mark.

Measure & Compare Length
Measurements from these 2 dialogs can be copied and pasted directly into Spec Sheet fields in MS Office applications and also linked to
Tukatechs TUKAplan PDM/PLM system with grading rule breakdowns

Seam Corners
Improvements made to the seam tool to match special seam corners.

Variation Grading
Improved procedure to pick and choose what sizes will load into the SmartMark order.
