Assalamualaikum and good morning to First of all I would like to welcome u to Majlis Daerah Papar also known as

Papar District Council . I am honored to present my presentation about introduction Papar District Council and task
that I have done here.
In Malaysia government Structure District Council is govern under Ministry of Housing and Local Government. It is
the lowest level in the system of government in Malaysia after federal and states.
Majlis Daerah Papar were establish on 1
st
January 1962 at the Papar District. The Papar area is about 1123.97
Hectar.
Papar district fall on the steep and hilly terrain of the Crocker Range while the remainder extending west to the
coastal Plan. As a result of these constraints most land development here is concentrated along the coastal strip
and inland along the river floodplains and lower hill ridges.
These physical characteristics have been identified as the driving force for the large amount of hill cutting and
filling within the district. This you can see from the development that have been made by Majlis Daerah Papar at 5
major town of Papar such as Papar, Kinarut, Lok Kawi, Bongawan and Kimanis Town.

The objective of the establishment is
Involvement of Local Resident
To provide an opportunity for local residents to get involved in the administration and legislation for
their own areas.

Assist the state Government in administration the formulation of law.
To assist the state government in the areas of administration and the formulation of laws.

Help political process.

To help the government implement some political process in the administration and legislation.


Provide basic facility.
To provide some basic facilities locally.

Provide construction and maintenance of the facilities located within the a of the area Majlis Daerah
Papar
Every development plan in papar district must be endorse by Majlis Daerah Papar. After endorsement
the approval letter will be given.

Through out the practical training many field work have been carried out.
My task is monitor the progress I visited.
I had gained so much of new knowledge and exprecience here. B4 I start my training I expected to
involve more on mechanical related work . Howeever much of my training is focusing on the
construction which is I think is a good thing to learn. I also learn about project management here. How
to make sure all the task will be carried out smoothly. The important of communication skill to submit
information that will be understand by workers. This will not be happen without the great cooperation
from the management and staff here. I am really happy to be a part of them.
