Description
Summary:
The Technical Services team plays an integral role at Airvana for customer operational
requirements, network planning, network engineering, network integration and technical
support.
The Technical Support Team is part of the Technical Services organization and focuses on
the support of Airvanas deployed Small Cell solutions. These solutions include Airvanas
CDMA Femtocell Products and will incorporate LTE solutions as they are deployed.

The CNE/CSE Engineer works directly with Airvanas OEM partners and Telecom Operators
to supply direct support of Airvanas deployed networks. The CNE/CSE Engineer should be
able to Analyze, design, test and evaluate wireless network systems and Management
Systems, with particular focus on integration of Femtocell and fixed mobile convergence
technology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Day to Day interaction with Customer Service Request.
Follow up with internal dev. Team to close issues raised.
Understanding the network architecture of Customer sites and if required to simulate
the problems in the lab area.
Testing / Verification of issues resolved.
Periodic travel expected for this position subject to project deliverables

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Troubleshooting RF issues, SIP/IMS, and Data Network Infrastructure Networks
Experience supporting large Network Management platforms
Executing test plans in Operator Labs to validate new software
Familiarity with RF Test tools & CDMA technology
Familiarity with Unix / Linux OS.
IP security and implementation.

Key Skills Mandatory:
In-depth experience in carrier IP/data network architecture and operations.
Field issue problem investigation and reproduction in captive labs.
Systems integration, performance optimization, and system upgrade planning and
procedures.
Knowledge of Management Systems using TR-069.
Strong working knowledge of mobile IP network elements, PDSN servers, Core
network & routers.
Ability to trouble shoot problems from remotely connected locations.
7x24 support of planned FOA upgrades and unplanned outages.
Project management of design changes for customer deliverables.
Must have excellent presentation, oral and written skills.
Must have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills a must.


Key Skills Desirable:
3 to 5 years of customer facing experience in deployment, optimization, &
troubleshooting of carrier class data networks.
Experience with Carrier Network Operators and field operational procedures is
required.
Experience with Wireless Network Operators and/or wireless systems architecture is
a definite asset.
Program management experience is a definite asset.
Ability to speak Japanese language would be a definite asset.


Education/Experience:

Education: - Bachelors/Masters Preferred (CS/ECE/EEE)
Experience: - 3 5 years
