History
MEPS FENCING SYSTEMS LIMITED was incorporated in 2002 after taking over
business from Lamuwalla Fabricators Limited whose main core business was Metal
Fabrication especially for Burglar Proofng, Grilles and Doors. In 1989 the founder
came up with the frst commercial electric fencing in Kenya after extensive train-
ing and working in South Africa for six months. In 2002 Lamuwalla Fabricators
became exclusive dealers of MEPS ELECTRIC FENCE Company in South Africa
hence the new name MEPS FENCING SYSTEMS LIMTED. Since then we have
been dealers of many Security Companies of South Africa and all over the world.

MEPS is currently the largest importer of electric fence products in Kenya clear-
ly a known name in the electric fencing market. MEPS Electric Fencing caters for
monitored electrifed domestic wall top, industrial and farmstead perimeter se-
curity fences, as well as game, animal enclosures, bomas and temporary fencing
for all types of animals. We also specialize in Razor Wire Fencing, Gate Automa-
tion, Bulletproofng, CCTV and Alarm Systems.

Electric Fencing
The MEPS Electric Power Fence is an extremely reliable
and effective form of perimeter security. It is the only
product to truly offer a detection and deterrent security
solution. The MEPS Electric Power Fence is installed to
meet stringent quality standards.
With over twenty years experience in the electric fence
business MEPS is leading the way in this new and effec-
tive form of perimeter security.
Our product, the MEPS Electric Power Fence, is an electric fence that provides
the ultimate in perimeter security supplying not only effective detection but also
a psychological deterrent. The controller is compatible to monitored alarm sys-
tems, the fence can be detected by zones, currently up to four. False alarms are
virtually non-existent, as the fence will only go into alarm when a concerted effort
is made to break the perimeter security. MEPS Electric Power Fence is in short a
cost effective, simple to operate and proven security system. Our existing clients
have reported the system as paying for itself within twelve months of installation.

Razor Wire Fencing
MEPS Razor Wire Fencing is both a formidable physical
barrier and an excellent psychological deterrent. Given
the increasing costs of security and the damage to vul-
nerable sites, Razor Wire Fencing is a cheap, cost effec-
tive perimeter defence system.
Razor Wire Fencing has signifcant advantages over
barbed wire fencing and other similar products...
Its rigid self supporting coils present approximately 1,500 needle sharp (short
barbed tape) barbs per metre and its high tensile steel core is extremely resistant
to cutting.
Core reinforced barbed tapes have the advantage of being able to be ftted to
walls, fences or eaves without the need for heavy duty straining posts, supports
or catenary wirers.
The method also allows for the barbed tape to follow any contour without hav-
ing to follow straight lines or levels, necessary with strained wire sections. Razor
Wire fows freely around corners, up or down stepped fence sections, up vertical
walls and under eaves. Its ability to follow contours without the need for strain-
ing, makes it ideal for fence and wall tops, ground installation and for preventing
access to roofs.
Short sections needed for urgent security can be installed extremely fast and
with little equipment, allowing repairs to be carried out without compromising
perimeter security.
The completed installation displays clean fowing lines with no breaks or protru-
sions through the line of Razor Wire, making any damage or tampering obvious
at a glance.

Electric With Razor Wire Fencing
The electric fence is part of the frst line of protection
to your premises. It forms an integral part of the security
plan and merits careful analysis and planning to be 100%
functional and effective. Any shortcomings in the elec-
tric fence will soon be detected by any transgressor and

Electrifed fencing not only acts as a physical and psycho-
logical barrier, but also as an early warning alarm system,
which is electronically monitored against cutting and
shorting of strands in an attempted breaching of the perimeter.

Closed Circuit Televisioc Surveillance Systems (CCTV)
CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) entails the monitoring and/or recording of peo-
ple, processes or property through the use of camera and other related electron-
ic security systems.
A basic CCTV system comprises of a CCTV camera, a video transmission system
which sends video signals from the camera to a recording system such as a digital
video recorder (DVR) which in turns sends the image to a monitor for display,

Porcelain Strainer Insulator
Used at the begining or at the end of an electric fence wire run.
The strain insulator - porcelain is suitable for fence wire diameters
up to 3.0 mm and a working load of 150 kgs. The strain insulator -

runs where high tensioning of the electric fence wires is required.

Sliding Gate Contact
The heavy duty sliding gate contact is used for series wiring of sliding
gates with a robust construction using stainless steel and brass, making
it suitable for outdoor use in most climates. The large location plates
allow for increased tolerance and easier installation.
EarthRod - 8mm / 12mm
An electric fence needs to be earthed in order to operate effectively.
The earth spike or earth stake is used to earth the electric fence sys-
tem. Knock 3 earth spikes /earth stakes into the ground near the elec-
tric fence at a minimum of 1.5 m apart and connect these earth spikes/
stakes to the energizer using the high tension insulated cable (HT). Even
a powerful energizer will not be effective without good earthing. In
areas where earthing conditions are bad you may be required to add a
few more earth spikes/stakes along the fence line and connect these back to the energiser.
