MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Isai ah 10- 12; Col ossi ans 2
Monday, September 29
Hos e a 14: 4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is
turned away from him.
Healing and Loving Lord:
This verse is condensed salvation. It is the whole gospel in just one pill. The
key to understanding getting saved hinges on the word freely. That is the divine
way love streams down from your wounds, O my Savior. A spontaneous love
flows to those who neither deserve it, nor purchase it, nor merit it. It is indeed
the only way God can love one such as me. I will love them freelybecause they are
neither fit nor loveable in themselves.
But Lord, my heart is so hard! I will love you feely.
But I dont feel like I need to be saved. I will love you feely.
But Ive done too much wrong to go back now. I will love you feely.
There are no conditions to the covenant of grace. Help me my Father, to
get this conceptwhich is the kernel of the gospelout to those I know who
are lost, so __________ and __________ will trust in the promise of God made
in Jesus Christ when he said,
John 3: 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
The grace of God is free at all times, without prior preparation or
condition, without fitness or finances, without human effort or encouragement.
I will love them freely, invites backsliders to return. Heal me and help me Lord,
and love me even more freely. Make the generosity of the promise break the
hearts of the lost so they will receive a Savior from sin, and a haven from hell.
Make the generosity of the promise break the hearts of the wandering, so they
return and seek the face of their grieving Father. Do it for Jesus sake! Amen.
TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS LIFE
Chronological Bible Reading: Isai ah 13- 15; Col ossi ans 3
Tuesday, September 30
John 17: 24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where
I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the
foundation of the world.
Holy Father and Commander of All:
Your will operates by divine providence. If you say, I will, it is mine to
say, As you will, Master. Sometimes you claim my desires and dreams, and they
lay unfulfilled. Sometimes you claim my projects and plans, and they lay
uncompleted. But sometimes you lay claim to people, and your irresistible
intercession draws every blood-bought saint to where Jesus sits.
I will not come into competition with you. I cannot hold onto my child if
you ask for him or her to be with you. I cannot detain my parents beyond their
appointed time. The intercession of Christ has such force about it that your will
has to be done, and my will must agree with it.
My children were never so much mine as they were yours. I never had so
much right to my parents as what you had by dying for them. They could never
be so truly at home with me as they can be with you. Whether it regards person,
project or thingmy will dissolves into yours. I say with steadfast resignation,
Not as I will. So if I am bereaved, make a smile blend with my tears.
On your part, you do not consider yourself glorified until I behold it. Let me
see your glory through all things this week. Your glory is better than my
personal pleasure or profit. All things are more mine by becoming yours.
Help me realize as your child that everything is an outcome of your love.
You have a purpose to work even through the tears of my life. Let your love
conquer my griefs. I hold my friends and family lovingly, but ever ready to let
them go to you. Thank you for loving me so, Jesus. Amen.
WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Isai ah 16- 18; Col ossi ans 4
Wednesday, October 1
Ac t s 2: 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto
Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Glorious and Magnificent Lord:
What do I understand from your passion? It was an amazing grief. First, I
bring away a spiritual conviction of sins evil. I pray that people will be pricked in
their heart, with a relentless stirring of emotion toward you.
I saw One hanging on a tree, in agonies and blood,
Who fixd His languid eyes on me, as near His cross I stood.
Sure never till my latest breath can I forget that look;
It seemd to charge me with His death, though not a word He spoke.
My conscience felt and ownd the guilt, and plunged me in despair;
I saw my sins His blood had spilt, and helpd to nail Him there.
Alas! I knew not what I did; but now my tears are vain;
Where shall my trembling soul be hid? For I the Lord have slain!
So I come to you Lord, repenting and believing. Give me the gifts and the
graces of the Holy Ghost. Make me a chosen witness for you! Issue a new edition
of your love-gospel, printed on my heart, which says, love wins. I cannot bear
it if I have work given, but power withdrawn.
Holy Spirit, be my Comforter that I be not afraid. Be my Advocate that I be
not baffled. When I speak, make your power inside suggest my words. Give an
anointing with those words, convicting peoples hearts. Bring a power into their
soul, causing the words to stick in their memory.
It is not revival unless I have the power of the divine, the power of your
Spirit, who is one with Father and Son. The bodily sight of Jesus would appeal to
the senses, but the power of your Spirit can touch hearts. Touch us today! Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Isai ah 19- 21; 1 Thessal oni ans 1
Thursday, October 2
Josh. 22: 5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses
the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways,
and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart
and with all your soul.
Tis a blessd hope, and it cheers my soul,
I shall rest by and by over Jordan;
When my work is done and my crown is won,
I shall rest, sweetly rest over Jordan.

Tis a blessd hope which my Savior gives,
I shall rest by and by over Jordan;
I shall see Him there in His mansion fair,
When I rest, sweetly rest over Jordan.

With a steadfast faith I will labor on,
I shall rest, sweetly rest over Jordan;
O what joy twill be the redeemed to see,
When I rest, sweetly rest, over Jordan.

Over Jordan, over Jordan, I shall rest
Sweetly rest by and by;
Tis a precious hope, tis a blessd hope,
I shall rest, sweetly rest over Jordan.

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: Isai ah 22- 24; 1 Thessal oni ans 2
Friday, October 3
Lam. 3: 31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
Great Lord and Heavenly Father:
You can cast us away for a reason, and you can cast us away for a season.
We may take our jewelry off for a few days, but we do not forsake it, nor throw it
in the trash. Just so, it is not like you Lord, to cast off those whom you love for,
John 13: 1 Jesus having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto
the end.
Some people teach we can gain salvation by grace, but then lose it. The
Bible says that is not so. Your love is far more abiding, and far more enabling.
If you chose us from eternity, then you will love us through eternity.
Moreover, you will guide us right now. Since you loved us so much to die for us,
we can be sure your love will never die. It passed through death for us, and it still
lives. Your honor is so wrapped-up in our salvation and in our participation in
your mission, you could sooner cast-off your robe of glory as cast us off.
Just like the head never takes off an arm, and the groom never pushes away
his bride, so our salvation and direction is secure. Some people, though they
could have the same secure salvation, do not even know the gospel yet. Let us
not be selfish in this! Help us even today get a word of witness to thema
lifeline of hope in Christ Jesus.
Why should we think so evil of the Lord as to feel cast-off when we are not
(yea, we cannot be)? Let us cast-off those thoughts instead. Keep them from
lodging in our souls today. Just like a weed or an unwanted birds nest, help us
pull them down by the tool of your word, and look to you for all our security and
self-esteem. For Jesus, you are worthy of our trusting you like this! Amen.
Rom. 11: 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Isai ah 25- 27; 1 Thessal oni ans 3
Saturday, October 4
Ps a. 89: 19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help
upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
Heavenly Father:
I was lost in my sins, like many others are still. How long before my heart
smites me for all those I will come in contact with today, who apart from
knowledge of the gospel are LOST? You put all our hope for the help of
salvation on the one who was mighty enough to purchase our redemption.
Why was Christ chosen for this task? Was it not so he could be our
brother? He had the blood of God, but he put on human flesh. What a
relationship there can be between Christ and me today! Lord, let me reach the
lost so they can say,
! I may be poor, but I have a brother that is rich
! I may be despised, but I have a brother on the throne
! I may be at the bottom, but I have a brother at the top
! I may be uncertain, but I have a brother who knows all
! I may be forsaken, but I have a brother who is my friend
! I may be low, but I have a brother on high. Will he allow me to lose
while he is on the throne? No way. He loves me because he is my brother.
I can wear this thought like a neck chain of diamonds today, but I want to
share it with others and give it away. Keep it around the neck of my memory so I
can display this great gift to the lost. Let me put it, like a golden ring, on the
finger of faith and use it as the Kings own seal, sealing the petitions of my
prayers for those who are lost with the confidence of his success on the cross.
Prov. 17: 17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
Brother, lets win souls together! Amen.

HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH

HOW TO BUILD A BALANCED LIFE

1) TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.

2) TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as
God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.

3) TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS
! Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)
! Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
! Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

PRAYER DIARY

" INTERCEDE WITH GOD " INSTRUCT SAINTS
" PROMPT PETITIONS " KICKSTART DEVOTION

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
