RESTORATION OF HOPE

These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be
fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
Luke 24:44-45

Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47
And
that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at
Jerusalem.
48
And ye are witnesses of these things. Luke 24:46-48
1- Acknowledge and confess sin: I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I
said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Psalm 32:5 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Luke 1:77

2- Remorse and regret act of sin: Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry
for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. Isaiah 65:14 Cry aloud, spare not, lift
up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob
their sins. Isaiah 58:1
3- Asking for forgiveness of sin: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
4- Determination not to return to sin: It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil
which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may
forgive their iniquity and their sin. Jeremiah 36:3 Afterward Yahshua findeth him in the temple,
and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto
thee. John 5:14
5- Quitting the act of disobedience that leads to sin in remission: Now where remission of these is,
there is no more offering for sin. Hebrews 10:18 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is
shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and
shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Yahshua began to preach, and to say,
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17
Repent is defined as to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin.
synonyms:
feel remorse, regret, penitence, be sorry, rue, reproach oneself, be ashamed, feel
contrite;
...for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. I Samuel 2:3

WHY REPENT?
I John 3:4 reads, Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of
the law. The scripture defines sin as the breaking of the Lords laws, statutes, and commandments
written throughout the Bible. For example, adultery, homosexuality, stealing, fornication, and murder,
etc are examples of sins that the Israelites are committing. Proverbs 28:13 reads, He that covereth his
sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. The scripture says
that a person that does not acknowledge that he is breaking the Lords commandments will not receive
forgiveness for his sins (repentance). This scripture also shows that in order to repent, a person must
then forsake his sins. The act of forsaking sins means to abandon the act of wrongdoing so that after
confession, a person no longer returns to his wicked deeds. Job 33:27-28 reads, He looketh upon men,
and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not; He will
deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
Isaiah 55:7 reads, Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return
unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Hosea 5:15
reads I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction
they will seek me early. In order to truly repent, one must deny himself (Mark 8:34) of the world pleasures that
violates the laws, statutes, and commandments and begin to observe (Matthew 28:20) them through Yahshuah
Masiach. Read Psalms 119:9 and Psalms 19:7.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the
Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23
WHO NEEDS REPENTANCE?
Acts 5:31 reads, Him (Yahshua Masiach) hath the Father exalted with his right hand to be a Prince
and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Our Heavenly Father sent his
son, Yahshua Masiach, to the Israelites to be a living example of how to obtain eternal life by the
guarding commandments. He taught Israel how to follow the Heavenly Father in truth, and became the
final sacrifice for sin. Yahshua offered his body without sin for the salvation of Israel to repent from all
transgression of the Lords commandments. The only way to truly repent is through the blood of the
Lamb, being that Yahshua was brought as a lamb to the slaughter signifies his death reconciling us back
to the Father for the remission of sins. Read I Peter 3:18
I Timothy 1:9-10 reads, Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and
disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of
mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for
liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; This scripture
shows that repentance is open to all who desire to stop sinning and follow Yahshua Masiach to become as
Israel. Romans 3:23 reads, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of Yahshua; Everyone has broken
the commandments save Yahshua; therefore let every soul turn from his wicked ways. Acts 17:30 And the times
of this ignorance Yahshua winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
