Rituals are Stereotyped behavior of customary observance and practice with

prescribed procedure for conducting religious ceremonies based on myth
The very definition explains almost everything about rituals.
It is stereotype
It is customary
It is an observance
It is just a practice
It has a procedure
It is the religious ceremony of show
It is totally myth
The question is the genuineness and authenticity?
Who has the authority to make up all these things?
What is the motive?
Rituals are part and parcel of all religions in the whole world. Some have more
and some have less, some are primitive and others are modern, none is better
than the other.
If you separate the rituals, then the ceremony is an empty shell regardless it is
religious, social or political.
Once I happened to attend a prayer group organized by few medical doctors. One
of them was a close associate of me. He invited me, so I went there.
The hall was some thirty feet long and reasonably wide. I sat among others
looking to front where as others also. I saw none coming to the front and doing
the sermon. I was sure it was one of the doctors who spoke on that day. They had
a PA system through which the voice came in. The people who spoke were sitting
at the rearmost. They were not seen to the audience at all.
On the next day I asked the man I know, why none of them were seen?
He said, when there is something to look at, almost half of your concentration is
spend on it. The answer was quite surprising and new to me. I could feel he was
very much right.

Though there are occasions where a visual can substitute a million words, when it
comes to word of God, that itself gives us an inner vision, Word itself is God.
What is behind ritual is to worship God sincerely. Rituals are always symbolic
and it does no purpose. It gives an impression mostly to less literate what it
represents.
You have seen pictorial storybooks for children. These pictures are more
impressive to the child than the words. The pictorial storybooks help the children
to learn new words to some extend. For grown ups you will see in plain text
books, because the words can give full picture to the reader.
When it comes to worshipping God, your sincerity and honesty of your mind does
the purpose first and not your offerings in cash or kind. Obey and trust the Lord
implicitly, that is what he wants. The practice of offerings is thousands of years
old and you cannot do away with it overnight.
There are only extremely few who are really fearless. Man may pretend to be
brave and daring but at heart there is always fear.
For example: you want to buy a house and you found one house and you have
made up your mind. Then one of your close friends comes and tells you several
families lived in that house, they all went broke. You better not buy that house. I
am sure you will not buy that house because he implanted some fear in you.
People fear to do away with rituals because of fear only, so they continue to
practice it. During Moses time, they imposed fine for any disobedience to Gods
commandments. The temple collected those fine imposed on them. They were the
spiritual and social authority at that time. The priest was getting the share of all.
When it came to Jesus time, He said to repent as a punishment and no
symbolism. Jesus disciples continued His teachings; soon after that, those
Christians began to fall back to all kinds of rituals.
Jesus said to obey Gods Commandments and worship God in truth and spirit
because God is Spirit.
Your good conduct is your offerings and your worship is through your spirit.
Your offerings (rituals) are not worship but a bribe. You cannot bribe God and get
your things done. During early days of man, he was ill literate, at that time rituals
and offerings was the communicative language.
Now you are grown up you dont need pictorial books you can depend on books in
plain text.

Like the pictures have gone from books, rituals have gone from worshipping.
No matter which religion you belong to, it makes no difference.
Even in these modern era people do all kinds of evil things and make big offerings
to get away from the terrible outcome. These people are haunted by those
superstitious beliefs and practices so they continue to do so.
The religious leaders compel the people to contribute in cash and kind and
promote rituals. Laymen are brainwashed in such a way so that they blindly
believe, just because of conditional offerings they get things done. They also
advertise in different media they are doing it for the favors they received.
Romans 1: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and
served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.
Hosea 4:17-19 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone. Their drink is sour: they
have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give
ye. The wind has bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed
because of their sacrifices.
Paganism is based on conditional rituals.
They do rituals to obtain favors and also after obtaining favors from their favorite
gods.
Christians do many more things, imitating the gentiles. Here religion is not at all
a factor what man does is the important thing.
Fulfillment of every duty will be rewarded and every transgression will be
punished For every action there is a reaction, sometimes immediate and at other
times later.
Rituals among Christian Churches: Catholics stands first and then the orthodox
churches and the rest follows.
Rituals are the creations of religious leaders. They elevated themselves to God
and began to dictate religious performances and order.
The religious leaders of all tribes have done it, for their own security, stabilizing
their highest designation in the society and to grab the power to manipulate their
wealth and the very society itself.
This action is putting a person (priest) into a non-elective high position. No one
can displace him; his job is permanent until death. He could enjoy the luxury at
the cost of foolish public in the name of God.

Where there is Gods name, people will shudder to interfere; rather they become
knowingly submissive to the no-spiritual rituals dictated by the priests.
What I have done is: - I have dropped all rituals long ago, even when I had no
knowledge of its authenticity.
When I attained the knowledge I said, I have nothing to give you Lord but myself,
because I know that is what you want. That is what is the most difficult thing to
give to another My mind rather my heart.
I have only one cup, filled over with regrets and disappointments and pain. Take
it its all yours Lord that is what you gave me, now you take it back.
Why have you created me then abandon me I know not why. You are the
creator and I am only a creature, your will prevails and mine is abandoned.
I tried everything including all the rituals to get over my troubles in my
ignorance, and now I know you hate that. I broke into a million pieces and fell
apart.
If you want, if that is your will, to recast me let it be so.
Only the creator wins and the creatures are defeated.
Let the Glory be highest
