&. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Sta*ility is an essential factor of 6ualityB safety an8 efficacy of a 8ru$ ,ro8uct.
/nsufficient sta*ility of a 8ru$ ,ro8uct can result in chan$es in ,hysical (li'e har8nessB
8issolution rateB ,hase se,arationB etc.( as ;ell as in chemical characteristics (formation
of hi$h ris' 8ecom,osition su*stances(. #icro*iolo$ical insta*ility of a sterile 8ru$
,ro8uct coul8 also *e ha:ar8ous. Stabilitas adalah faktor esensial bagi kualitas,
keamanan dan efikasi produk obat. Ketidakcapaian stabilitas produk obat dapat
menghasilkan perubahan secara fisik (kekerasan, kecepatan disolusi, fase separasi).
Ketidakstabilan mikrobiologi produk obat steril dapat berbahaya juga.
