Honble Vice Presidents Message
Te Honble Vice President of India, Prof. Mohammad Hamid Ansari
inaugurated Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) on
Wednesday 11th June, 2008. Prof. Ansari called the move to set up
CIMP a major step towards improving the education scenario in Bihar.
Bihar has been a hub of higher education from the ancient times and
with the setting up of Chandragupt Institute of Management, it is
well on its way to regain its glory that it had lost in the last few years.
Tis would also prevent students from migrating to other states that
would eventually help Bihar develop its own infrastructure and bring
economic prosperity in the state.
Prof. Mohammad Hamid Ansari
Honble Vice President of India
Te idea for establishing an institute of management in Bihar was
conceived at a time when the rest of the world had started looking
towards India as the next economic superpower. While the country
showed promising signs to gain economic supremacy, we also felt
the need for quality institutions, which could contribute towards
realization of this goal. We needed new centres of excellence and
leadership, which could produce visionary leaders capable of launching
India into an era paralleled only by her glorious past. We needed new
centres of nation building, which could propel all inclusive growth
and development so that each and every section of the country could
rightfully and happily identify with the advancement. With such a
background, the idea of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna
(CIMP) was born. Named after one of the greatest administrators of
medieval India, CIMP has been envisioned as an institution providing
nationally and internationally relevant management education
and research facilities. CIMP is also expected to contribute to the
development of Bihar and other eastern states of India, fulflling the
need for all round and inclusive growth. I am sure that CIMP will be
able to achieve its mission and lead India and Bihar to redeem her
past glory. I hope and pray that we will get help and support from all
quarters of society. I welcome and invite you to join this mission and
embark on an inspired journey called CIMP.
My Best Wishes
Nitish Kumar
Honble Former Chief Minister of Bihar

Te Post Graduate Programme at CIMP
enabled me to live a unique experience.
I grew academically, professionally, and
also as a person. It was two years of self-
exploration where I really enjoyed the
participative class discussions and
interacting with so many bright minds.
Te case studies, the innumerable
assignments, hours spent in the library
and the computer lab today seem so
worthwhile at work. It was an invaluable
learning process for me and my two years
stay was
indeed an enriching experience that I am
going to cherish for the rest of my life. I
am deeply indebted to my Alma Mater
and my teachers who spared no efort in
making us comfortable with the diferent
management concepts. I guess it was only
the persistence and guidance
provided by the faculty that enabled me
to compete with students of IIM. Bagging
Gold Medal for academic excellence was
an amazing experience.

Alumni Speak
My life at CIMP was always hectic and
demanding. Te aggressive deadlines of
faculties and Placement Cell activities
always kept me on my toe. Working
whole night to fnish the assignments &
case studies and again waking up in the
morning to attend classes inculcated the
culture of hard work among us. Stringent
standards of evaluation forced us to strive
& push up our limits to achieve excellence.
After undergoing those challenging days,
our current job appears fun.
Our qualifed faculty members ensure
that our courses are tailored to match the
industry requirements giving us an edge
over others to excel in this competitive
business world.
My active role in Placement Cell helped
me to polish my communication skills and
learn the art of liaising with industrial
giants that actually helped me to grow as
a professional.

to aim high. Te faculty is one of the best

mentoring, motivation and constant
support throughout the CIMP journey. We
had amazing, passionate and committed
teachers.
CIMP taught me the basics I needed for my
professional career and I feel fortunate to
be with the right set of people throughout.
It has been a wonderful journey so far

I am from batch 2012-14, joined CIMP
in June12. I always wanted to go out
for higher studies. But thanks to all
those who convinced me for joining this
institute.It was an amazing experience!
Te campus is visited by almost all the
top companies- Amul, Colgate Palmolive,
TASL, ITC, GIC, LIC, Jeevika, Yes
Bank etc. It provides 100% placement,
provided the student is competent and
deserving. I got placed in TASL which was
a great reward for me. Te classes, hectic
schedules, presentations, projects and
every task I completed prepared me for
what I actually need to do today. So, the
most tedious assignments groomed me
to ft into my professional life and face
the actual challenges of the corporate
world. Additionally, it also instilled the
values of ethics and morality. So, CIMP
made me what I am today and I feel proud
to say that I am a CIMPian. When I look
back at my journey from CIMP to TASL,
I fnd it extremely learning and thrilling.
I am thankful to Honourable Director
Sir, all the Professors, my batch mates,
seniors and juniors.
Good luck.
