Catalyst Academy, headquartered at Guwhati, is first-of-its kind

Pharmaceutical Academy in India, formed to provide specialized courses to cater


to the manpower need of the modern Pharmaceutical industry. Our aim is to
develop the competence of young graduates so as to make them industry ready
to cater the growing need of people in the industry at all level.

As it is being predicted that market for pharmaceutical products in India has


strong potential for increased growth from 2008 right through to 2023. As a
result there will be a huge demand of trained manpower. On contrary there is a
huge gap between demand and supply of skilled workforce for the Pharma
sector. The existing knowledge and the manpower gap in the industry have led
to formation of different courses in Catalyst Academy so that we can fulfill these
requirements.

In order to chase our vision and fulfill the mission we have launched for the first
time in India the Certificate Course in Pharmaceuticals Sales
Management(CPSM). The course content is structured for the fresh graduates

CPSM Syllabi: Training Materials are developed and monitored by
Mr. Deepak Chakrabarty and his team of Trainer’s. Mr.Deepak Charaborthy has
been in the pharma industry since last 30 years and have worked in different
pharma companies like Sandoz, Alkem, Ranbaxy, USV and Unique etc in different
positions like Group Product Manager,& GM Training and Development
experience of over 13 years in pharmaceutical training at all corporate levels
starting with entry levels up to sales’ manager level. Harnessing both in-house
and external faculties to meet and surpass training objectives.
He is also a visiting faculty in different Business Management Institutes including
Narsee Monjee Institute of Business Management, Mumbai, and ISBM-Pune
leading B school for Pharmaceutical Marketing and Communication Course.

Our syllabus covers Basic Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology,


Important therapy areas, Selling Skills and All Business Processes (Retail Audit,
Day’s Planning, Key Opinion Leader Development and Wholesaler Operation
etc).

We cover all modules in two months. The course had been divided into first
month classroom and second month e-learning modules.

Mode Of Operation:
• We Plan to appoint Master-Franchise(M.F) in all state Capital.M.F will
appoint Franchise at all Major Pharmaceutical Head quarter’s.

leading pharmaceutical stockiest.
Role and Responsibilities of M.F
Objectives

M.F will deliver the courses and training programs offered by CATALYST
ACADEMY at its own center in XX, under the brand name of CATALYST
ACADEMY. M.F will deliver these courses and training programs in the most
professional manner guided by the overall philosophy and spirit of CATALYST
ACADEMY.

M.F will create new Franchise in the state of XXX. M.F along with CATALYST
ACADEMY will select new Franchise and then mentor them for better
performances. The M.F should develop Franchise in all major pharmaceutical
H.Q’s within two months of signing the agreement.

Infrastructure

The M.F & FRANCHISEE should have a carpet area of 1000 square feet for its
own center and office at XXX , with the following infrastructure in place

a) Two well furnished AC classrooms

b) Counseling and Reception Area

c) Computer lab with Internet facilities (Broadband)

d) Library space and Racks with Required Books and Materials

e) Small lounge and Office space.


With a plush looking interior including class room and Office ACs, good
furniture, lights and fixtures, color combinations etc. CATALYST ACADEMY
may suggest suitable interiors to make the brand appearance common
across its associates.

Master Franchise Fee and Royalty Fees to CATALYST ACADEMY:

The M.F will pay a Franchisee fee of Rs. 1.0 lakhs to CATALYST ACADEMY on
the date of signing the agreement.

The M.F will pay 30% of the total fees collected from the enrollment fees to
CATALYST ACADEMY as a part of the royalty payment to CATALYST ACADEMY.
And @ Rs.1000.00 per student as cost of course material.

Manpower

2.1 The M.F should hire able manpower to run the business. The manpower can
be divided into two categories – Administrative & Marketing Staff and
Faculties.

• Administrative and Marketing Staff: The M.F will hire the following
Administrative and Marketing Staff at the initial stage. Depending upon
the growth the manpower requirement will also grow.

• Faculties: The M.F Associate need to have a combination of full time and
part time faculties.

Training:
CATALYST ACADEMY will be undertaking regular training programs for M.F and
Franchisee employees (including Administrative, Marketing Staff, and Faculties)
at M.F’s center, or its own venue or any other neutral venue. The training
expenditures will be shared equally between the M.F, Franchisee and CATALYST
ACADEMY.

Local Advertisement and Promotion

The M.F and Franchisee to carry out local advertisements and promotional
activities. Some of the standard advertisement and promotional activities that
the M.F and Franchisee should carry out are as follows:

• Advertisement in Local Print Media, Cable TV and Radio FM


• Hoarding and Displays at important locations
• Posters and leaflet distributions at important locations such as College,
good localities etc. Insertions in newspaper at regular intervals
• Regular Seminars at different colleges, hostels, and own centers at
regular intervals.
• Stall at important locations to directly interact with the students.
• Participation in Book Exhibitions and other important events to make
the brand visible enough.
• Regular follow up through phone calls, sms, e-mail to prospective
students
• Group Discounts, Scholarship Test etc.

CATALYST ACADEMY will not bear any cost related to the local advertisement
and promotional activities. However CATALYST ACADEMY will do
advertisements at a regional or national level to strengthen the brand.

Franchisee

The M.F will create new Franchisee (Franchisee should be a leading


pharmaceutical stockiest within the area) in the state of XXX who in turn will
provide similar courses and training programs at their own centers. The newly

created Franchisee will enter into an agreement with CATALYST ACADEMY in the
presence of M.F before beginning the business operations.

The M.F will undertake co-ordination activities with Franchisee. It will co-ordinate
with Franchise for Admission , Royalty payment, local advertisements and
promotions, training of staff and faculties and other activities that will improve
the performances and brand image of Catalyst Academy.

Franchisee and Royalty Fees Sharing with Catalyst Academy

The Franchisee will pay a franchisee fee of Rs. 0.50 lakhs and royalty
payment 30% CATALYST ACADEMY.

The M.F will get a 15% share of the Franchise fees of newly created
Franchisee.

The M.F will get a 10% share of the royalty payment received from the
Franchisee.
