Re: Footbridge Hold-up Incident

Last September 25, around 11: 30 AM, an attempted hold-up
incident involving an AIT student took place on the footbridge.
The student was about to cross the bridge from CHK to AIT when
a man, believed to be in his early 20s, tried to intimidate him with a
weapon and forced him to give up his belongings. Fortunately, the
student was able to resist and run to his safety.
The AIT student council already reported the incident to the UP
Police, Quezon City Police District, and the administration. We
advise the students to be extra cautious and vigilant especially in
the footbridge area. Please refrain from using or exposing your
gadgets in public spaces to avoid getting the attention of robbers
and thieves. We also advise you to refrain, as much as possible,
from crossing the footbridge alone.
Rest assured, we are doing our best to look for ways to improve
the security and safety of our students both inside and outside the
institute.
