Research Interests and Current Activity
Completed PhD on Analysis of Delaminations in Glass-fibre Reinforced Polymer
Pipes Using Infrared Thermographic Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation from
National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India.

Obtained American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level 2 certificate for
Infrared Thermographic Testing method on Feb 2007 with the overall score of 85%.
Carried out industrial collaborative research with Future Pipe Industries LLC, Oman
for analyzing defects in Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP) Pipes using thermography.
Research interests are focused on Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation (NDT&E).
In particular, infrared thermographic and ultrasonic testing methods. Nondestructive
testing and evaluation plays a major role in ensuring cost effective operation, safety
and reliability of plant, with resultant benefit to the community. Broad research
interests also include design of mechanical elements, integration of mechanical
systems with electronic components, vibration analysis of roto-dynamic systems,
maintenance strategy.
