Course Description • To promote the intellectual interest and direction of Crew members through

Crew (Course) & University Policies
CREW POLICIES
Participation points are awarded for each class period. If you do not attend you can not earn
Crew Attendance participation points.

Crew members will be provided the same concern, respect and caring attitude within the
Crew Citizenship organization and class that they are expected to share externally.

Crew members are expected to be responsive to email announcements and instructions in a


timely fashion (on the following business day). Crew members must check their UTD email at
least once a day. It is recommended that all email correspondence be retained for your record

Cerw Extra Credit No Extra Credit (activities, assignments or projects) will be offered in this course.

The semester is divided into two sections: Section 1 runs through mid-term exam week and
Section 2 follows mid-term week and end with the final exam period. Points earned from Lecture
are combined with the points earned in the Lab classes. The points are totaled at the end of each
section in which they were earned.
Crew Grading (credit) Criteria

At the end of the semester the two sections' total points are combined to determine the final
grade earned for the class. A letter grade will be assigned using the 13 step letter-grade option
(Re: A+ to F).

Work is considered "late" if submitted after the first 10 minutes of class period on the day the
assignment is due.

Penalty for work submitted late - the earned grade will be reduced by one full letter grade (ex: A
paper of 'A' quality will receive a 'B' when submitted late).

Generally there are no provisions for make-up exams/quizzes/tests or other grade-bearing
