The Office of Student Conduct is seeking committed BU students to serve on
the Student Conduct Board. Applications for the Student Conduct Board are
available via B-Engaged (search Student Conduct). Applications are due
Wednesday October 29th along with two recommendation letters. The Office
of Student Conduct will be holding two General Information Meetings for
interested students,
Tuesday October 7th at 6:00pm in UU111
Monday October 13th at 6:00pm in UU111

Friday Shabbat services will be held at 6:30 p.m., followed by a full course dinner. Saturday Shabbat services
begin at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon. Seudat Shlishit is at 6 p.m., followed by Maariv and Havdalah.
Hillel at Binghamton
(Please note: service locations are subject to change; dinner location is firm.)
Friday Shabbat services will be held at 6 p.m. (Reform in the Hillel Lounge at University Union West, Room
301; Conservative at University Union West, Room 324)
Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m., Conservative Shabbat services and lunch will be held in University Union
West, Room 301 (Hillel Lounge).

Black Student Union (BSU) Fashion Show
University Union, Mandela Room
A Homecoming tradition - each year, hundreds of students and
alumni attend to support BSU and help raise money for its
Youth Program. The event will showcase clothing from several
designers. Students will participate as models, dancers,
musicians and speakers.

Alumni of Color Breakfast and Mentoring
University Union, Room 108
Meet experienced Alumni of Color from all schools! Practice
your social networking skills while meeting professional
alumni. Professional attire is strongly encouraged. The cost

CULTURAL GROUPS TO PARTICIPATE IN TAILGATE
The MRC is encouraging all cultural groups to participate in
Homecoming by showcasing their organization at Tailgate.
The MRC will award $100 to the cultural group with the most
votes for best presentation at Tailgate. Please visit the MRC
or the Dean of Students Office for more details. The sign up

Volunteers needed for
U-Diversity Professional Development Leadership Conference for Diversity and Inclusion in the 21st Century
The Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusions is looking for volunteers to help out the conference on Friday,
November 7th and Saturday, November 8th from 6:30 am to 6 pm. The conference will be held at the Innovation
Technology Center (ITC) in the Center for Excellence Complex located at 85 Murray Hill Rd, Vestal NY 13850.
If you are interested in doing the volunteer services, please contact Mengchen Huang, MRC Program Coordinator at

Do You Want to be on a TV Talk Show!?
Join the MRCs Diversity Talk Show
The Multicultural Resource Center is looking for students
to participate in the MRC Diversity Talk Show produced
by Binghamton Television BTV6. The shows will be filmed
on Wednesdays (October 8th, October 29th, and November
19th.) from 5-6 pm at the BTV6 station.
If you are interested in participating on one of the shows or

The MRC October Student Leaders Meeting is scheduled
on Tuesday, October 7th at 7 pm in UU 108.
Dinner will be provided.
We invite executive board members from all cultural student
organizations to attend the meeting.
Agenda includes: Culture Connects Grant, Event Submission,
Homecoming weekend, and U-Diversity Conference ...
MRC Culture Competency Training for Student Leaders
We will offer two Culture Competency Training sessions for
cultural student leaders.

MRC Diversity Photo Contest
Choose 1-3 original photos that represent diversity in Binghamton
student life and submit the pictures by Friday, October 31st for a
chance of wining a gift certificate from either Hibachi Grill, AMC
Theatres, or Laurel Bowling.

Chinese ribbon dance workshop and auditions
Sigma Psi Zeta sorority will hold Chinese Ribbon Dance
Auditions. Beginners are welcome! The first 45 minutes will be
an introductory workshop followed by the actual audition.

Showcase of community opportunities
BUs Center for Civic Engagement will host the 5th annual
Showcase which will provide students with networking,
collaboration and community-engagement opportunities in
all facets of community life.

Smores and ghost stories Libby Tucker
Dr. Libby Tucker, Professor of English and author of Haunted Halls: Ghostlore
of American College Campuses will tell campus ghost stories at the C4 Fire
Pit. Smore swill be provided for those who come!

Join the Equality Project for a discussion on the candidates
for the upcoming New York State Governor elections and
their stances on LGBTQ and other pertinent issues. What
does Andrew Cuomo and his running mate Kathy Hochul
have to say about the different members of our diverse
LGBTQ community? Does Rob Astorino or Howie Hawkins
have more progressive views on LGBTQ issues? What are
these candidates stances on other critical issues that impact the NY State community?

Chinascope is hosting their annual singing competition. If you like
singing , enter the competition and get a chance to win a Walmart gift

Making strides against cancer
Want to join the fight against breast cancer? Join Campus Rec's team for
the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. We encourage
anyone and everyone to join us on our mission to help in the fight against
breast cancer. Every dollar helps. However, if you join the Campus Rec
team and raise $30 or more, you will receive a limited edition Campus Rec
"come play for a cure" t-shirt.
