Methods to secure an Income

Dojo
-The dojo would be based around the main three partners within the Dojo. Myself,
Gio, and Nik. Each one of us would have at least 1 Martial Art to teach. I woul
d teach Wuji style Xingyiquan, Nik would teach X-Tactical Combat Systems, and Gi
o would teach the system of which he has learned. These three classes will be fo
r the "Teen" class, and the "Adult" class.
-For the actual children, they will have a class that is a combination of Tea Kw
on Do (Kicking), Karate (Punching), Boxing (Just for basic footwork), and Judo (
for the ability to throw, remove the enemy). Though we don't know all of these m
artial arts, Karate is extremely similar to TKD in many ways. Boxing is only use
d for the foot work and the ability to move around, so you don't have to "know"
the martial art, only have an understanding of the footwork. The Judo would only
be the use of some throws, mainly the use of body weight, as well as learning h
ow to fall without being hurt. It wouldn't be too difficult, as it's for childre
n. It's focused on developing strength (use of push ups, sit ups, and being acti
ve durring class), Balance, Core strength, technique, and Flexibility.
- class cost - The classes should be 100 dollars a month. This seems to be fair.
If someone in one class wishes to take one from another instructor, they are gi
ven a 20% discount, making the additional class on 80 dollars per month (on top
of the 100 for the first class). Children classes are 80 dollars per child, 50 f
or any additional siblings. The first class is free, to see if it's something th
ey like. They can sign a 1 year contract, for an additional 15% off of the month
ly fee. Though if the forfeiht the contract they are still reliable to play the
rest of the contracted time, as stated.
- Time slots - We would each have times we teach, that work best for the group o
f people we are aiming at teaching. A example is like this. 8 in the morning wou
ld be a cardio class. 11 would be my class, 12 might be an hour worth of Yoga. A
t 1 would be Gio or Nik, then the other follows in at 2, ending at 3. We would b
reak until then, until about 5. Starting at 5 would be kids class, 6 would be 1
of the adult classes, then 7, last one starting at 8 and ending at 9. This would
make it to where each of us worked roughly 2 hours per day, possibly more on so
me days, though only 5 days a week normally.
- Private Lessons - These would be done on the weekened, where they chose. As th
e faculty, their home, etc. Whatever is more easier for them, they are paying fo
r it. These would average 35 dollars per hour, so they would be quite proffitabl
e. Wheneve these can be booked, they should. We would have to work around eachot
her though, this is important that their is enough time between classes to have
the students help wipe things down, spray it down, make it clean, smell clean, a
nd look clean. This is only fair to fellow students.
- Uniforms - The school will have the same general uniform, for most of the clas
ses. This will make it easier in case they want to cross train, they wont have t
o buy another. The common uniform will be a simple jung fu uniform, that buttons
down. They are generally more comfortable then the traditional Gi. Though, it i
s a possibility that the Masters will wear these, and the students will wear the
Gi's. Gi's, especially heavy duty ones, can handle through throws much better,
they are meant to. They handle much rougher play, and would last longer through
the wear and tear I assume. We would allow for shirts to be worn, if they are of
the schools design/logo. Though they would have to purchase a uniform, on days
when full uniform would be mandatory. Any shirts, sweatshirts, or hoodies they w
ant to purchase extra is fine, and will add more to the business.
- Pro shop - This is where we would sell water, power drinks, protein shakes, to
wels, shirts, uniforms, etc. Anything that could be sold here, would be sold wit
hin the pro shop. This would be a source of extra income, selling bottles of wat
er at 1.00 per bottle, when you can generally buy a large supply of them for 3 t
o 4 dollars. You can easily make a lot of profit off of this.
- Sub Leasing - We would sub lease to people, though it would probably be on a 3
month period, or however long they wanted to lease for. We would want this to b
e abour 300 to 400 dollars a month. Preferably we could find at least 1 person,
if not 2. We could manage our schedule to allow for more time for others, while
still being able to train others, and use it as a training faculty for our selve
s. 1 person bring in 400 extra per month covers almost all of the bills. 2 peopl
e covers all of the bills, rent, power, everything. Then all of the students we
get become completele profit and the 10% that is kept to make the business bette
r in general.
- Testing - This would be done every other month, 6 times a year. Our goal being
58 students, this would bring us a total of 10 dollars per test, and then the b
elt fee. It would start at 20 dollars for the belt, then an additional 10 dollar
s for every belt above that. So if we assume that every student is testing for t
heir second grade, that is a 20 dollar belt, plus 10 for testing, so 30 dollars
per person who passes. If we assume that only half the students pass, the get 30
students (rounded up to 60). So, 30 students, each pay 30 dollars, 900 dollars,
and 300 from the other students, a total of 1200 in one day. This is excluding
the cost of the more expensive belts, like the black belt costs, as well as havi
ng a higher ranking rate then 50%. Also, this isn't adding in the drinks that wi
ll be purchased, etc. So I would say each testing would be a minimum of 2k per,
if not upwards of 3k to 4k. If we average it at, say 2500, that is an additional
12,500 a year. On top of the money we would already be getting. It would mean w
e would be taking in a total of 2280.5 a month, rounding down to 2k. This is sti
ll with only working minimal hours, then 10 hours per week, not adding in any ex
tra money we get. This takes into no account from pro shop, additional private t
raining, etc. So it is to be assumed we would be making roughly 2500 a month, wi
th all that can be done.

Personal Training
This would be another method we would make some additional income, which is why
we would free up as much of the day as possible. This is expensive, 30 to 40 dol
lars an hour. This would be maybe 1 client a day, possible 2 if we wanted it. Th
is would allow for an additional 60 to 70 in just 2 hours, adding to a 120 to 30
0 a week. 480, to 1200 additionally a month, giving an additional. Both of you m
ay have smaller living finances, though this would allow for you to save. If you
want to visit masters, other countries, or save for something you may want or n
eed in the future that you don't forsee. I believe this will more be focused for
me and Gio, though if Nik wants to do this, he surely can as well. We could run
this out of the Dojo, with contracts and such. The training could partly be the
ir, depending on what they want to achieve, or at a literal gym.

Yoga
I want Yoga to be taught at the school, 1 to 2 hours per day. This will bring in
an additional source of income, though this class would probably be roughly 80
dollars a month, and we would expect less students, probably about 8 to 10 stude
nts. Though this would add a lot, being an extra 800 a month. In the beginning t
his might be subleased to someone else, but we would be losing out on an additio
nal income by doing so. Or, we could have this class one or two times per day, u
s rotating shifts. It would require us to learn more about Yoga and take it fart
her, but that could only benifit our studies. The more we can get, the better.

Accupuncture And Message Therapy
I would do this on the side to help people, and for the extra additional income
from patients. I have been studying Accupuncture, and will have to learn more ab
out Message Therapy, though both pay well enough to do by the hour, and not do a
lot of it. I would like to have 1 patient or so a day, being 60 dollars per ses
sions in general (this is on the lower end of the scale). This would average 300
dollars per week, 1,200 dollars per month. Though it may not always be this muc
h, some of the time it may be more, it's additional money.

The Goal
The goal is to work as little as possible, to still stay in as good as condition
ing and shape while doing it. We want as much time on our hands as we can have t
hat is free time, working as little as possible. With these methods I think thes
e goals are beyond attainable, we simply have to plan the time frame out and sti
ck to it. I know that we can do this, and with the averaged cost of the item, re
nt, and bills, it should cost no more then 6,000 dollars to get the entire thing
set up and ready to go. This would also pay for 6 month of bills, give or take,
and we usually get 1 to 3 months rent free, so we would be bill from anywhere f
rom 7 to 9 months. This would allow us to build up the clients, and achieve as m
any people as we can until the bills start coming in again. We would of course s
tart paiying on the bills as soon as we possibly could, to pay the bills ahead,
to always have that extra bit of leverage,. of time in case a month is slow for
some reason.

Other Financial Plans
- Growing Marijiwana - I have planned this for some time, a long time. It's lucr
itive, even with states legalizing it. It's easy to get rid of, easy to grow, do
esn't take long to grow, and is very lucritive. Also, if you don't grow in an ex
tremely large scale, it's not expensive to do so, and it's very difficult for so
meone to find you doing it. I would be talking about taking a 10x10 room and tur
ning it into a grow room, with roughly 10 to 12 plants. Each plant capable of pu
tting off 3 OZ of dried marijiwanna per cycle (3 months), each plant putting off
roughly 12 OZ dried each year. This would be 120 OZ, or 7.5 pounds. Each pound
can be sold for 1.5 to 2k, giving an additional 12 to 14k per year, rounding dow
n to 10k for the cost of upkeep. Though still, an additional 3.3k per person, th
at is still extra money that builds up over time. Not to mention, if anyone has
personal habits, it would support those without having to pay for it. At the mos
t would could move this up to 30 plants, thogh would need a slightly larger room
. Doing so would net us 20k a year though, this is with the bills to afford it p
aid.
- Wood Cutting - This would be something we could do durring the off season a co
uple hours or so a week, to make extra income. Here it does get cold, so this is
a method we can use to have wood for ourselves, as well as to sell what is left
over. Using a truck, an axe, and a chain saw, it should be rather simple. We cu
t wood down, transport it, then cut it down further. Dry it out, get it ready fo
r use and being sold. Their is quite a bit of money in doing this, and the trees
are free. My only hang up with this is that we do plant 2 to 4 trees back, even
if it's just seedlings. What we take we should put back, especially if it suppo
rts us with air.

Other
Training - I think it is important that each of us have the training to survive
drastic scenarios, if they arise. We all have plans and goals, and this would al
low us to rest assured that they stay safe. With this training, I think it is im
portant we all have basic medical training, mainly emergency training, like an E
MT or paramedit. This is what they teach at a battle field, the medicine that yo
u don't see or hear. It could be life saving, or even save our own lives. I thin
k this is great to learn, and it's only a 4 week training class. Of course this
wouold be later on.
Weapons Training - I think it is important that each of us own a hunting rifle,
long ranged rifle, hand gun, and shotgun, and combat knife. That we all know how
to use them very well, and are extremely accurate with each of these weapons. M
y plan is for us to have different Cashes stored through out the US, mainly in t
he Northern area because of the ability to scrable into the woods, or other area
s if needed to survive. Having these type of weapons and knowing how to use them
could be crucial. If a virus breaks out, anything, even if the GOV wants to for
ce people into doing things they're way. We would have a better chance knowing h
ow to master these weapons. Also, if anything ever truly becomes apocolyptic, gu
ns are also worthy trading items if we really would have to. Having Guns, and am
mo would be of great importance. So each of us having these items is a must.
- Hunting and Tracking - The ability to turn invisible depends on you to underst
and those that are hunting you. If you understand it, you understand how to defe
nd against it. By being able to hunt, you learn to track, to follow small things
that you don't normally see with your eyes. You also learn a great survival ski
ll, with skinning, using the skin, removing of meat, etc. It is something that I
believe anyone should know how to do, in case they ever have to. Also, this is
a valuable way to cut down on food cost, and help the animal life by shrienking
the numbers down. By learning to do this, use the different forms of camouflage,
etc, you can become invisible. This goes in depth, such as camping to be unseen
, walking quietly in the woods, leaving no trace (like not breaking branches, le
aving steps, etc).
- Overall - I believe that overall we need to have the tools of survival under o
ur belt, and these are some of the methods to do so. We can hunt, defend ourselv
es and loved ones, and give basic medical care, as well as us knowing self defen
se. We would be well rounded enough to fend off the majority of people. On top o
f this, I plan on having a small location in the future, nothing huge. Roughly 5
Storage Units big, all put together, all put underground. They wouldn't be far
un the ground, only about 2 to 4 feet of dirt on top of it, with 6 inches of con
crete on top of the structures. They would be welded together, and any extra bea
ms would be used if needed to add strength into them. The idea is that this woul
d be our emergency shelter, and it would be shielded for the most part. The insi
de of them would have concrete walls, 6 inches or so thick, with sheetrock over
it, with a cement floor. It would allow for weapons training, supplies, radio co
ntact if needed, entertainment, etc. It would also allow us to remain hidden ver
y well, and not seen if we don't want to be. This would be the last course of ac
tion, though it would be a good home base, and they are cheap. Usually 1k or so
per unit, so they wouldn't cost a lot of money. 1 of the units would be nothing
but a pantry stacked full of dehydrated types of food, that last 20 or so years,
if not longer. As well as tons of water in a different unit, all the way to the
top. One unit for weapons and training. 1 for restrooms, and 1 for sleeping. Th
e entertainment will be through out it, at pool tables, reading, etc. Their woul
d be little electricty, most of it would come from crank power of your own hands
. Simply put, it would be a safe haven if anything went wrong, but this is much
further down in the future. For the training we need, the goal is to learn as mu
ch as we can so we can always be prepared, ready to adapt, and do it well.

Chelsee's Business
O plan on helping her start a Daycare business, preferably in the general area o
f where the Dojo will be, within a mile or less. WHich shouldn't be hard, becaus
e it should be off of main street, where the majority of shops are. This can be
a very lucritive business, if done properly. In the beginning it would probably
be her alone, until she hires someone to help. Though, when ether of you get gir
l friends and if you want to find them work, they could work their as well if it
took off enough. Each child is roughly 500 dollars a month for daycare, that's
actually cheap. The US average is about 950 a month. So 3 kids would be 1500 dol
lars, paying for the bills easily. I would say she is capable of watching 3, to
4 children at once. So at most, 2,000 dollars worth of children. Besides this we
would have another person who could also watch up to 4 kids. The goal would be
to have 10 children as clients, being 5,000 a month. Averagge that 800 goes to b
ills, and 1500 or so would go to the other person working with her. this would b
e a total of 2,680 dollars left over, profit. So between me and her we would eas
ily have the life, and life style that we both want. The day care would be from
the morning, until 5 or so. Anymore more then this would be extra, concidered "o
vertime". Infants and younger children would also cost extra, because of the mor
e difficulty in carring for them. She would eventually have a Van/vehicle to pic
k them up, though more then likely one of us would be picking the children up an
d driving them to the center, she would be their with kids.

Nik and Geo living situation
In the beginning it would probably be best to have a affordable, and mobile livi
ng area. In case you want to travel, to visit someone, you will have the ability
to do so with comfort. a 5th wheel is quite large, and would be costly to take
across the states, say to maybe visit Ramose. If a nicer camper was used, this w
ould be much more affordable, and it would allow for more then enough room. A sm
all generator can be connected for the use of power, when you aren't plugged in
directly to an outlet. It has a stove, and a sink. It doesn't have a shower thou
gh, or bathroom this is the downfall. The shower would be easy enough to fix, th
ough the bathroom is difficult. The issue with using the bathroom is that even i
f it had 1, you would have to go to a park to dump the bathroom pretty often. Th
ough if you had a 5th wheel, you would have a shower built into it, and bathroom
. I think in the beginning a truth with a camper is best, then upgrade to a 5th
wheel. You can keep and use both of them. If you want to travel, go with the Cam
per. Take the 5th wheel as your actual home. Ether way you would have a truck th
at can be used for transportation and the hauling of items. Nether of you seem l
ike you will be inside super often anyway. With us working, practicing, and enjo
ying eachothers company and nature, we shouldn't be stuck inside too often. Thou
gh you will still have power, a tv, etc. What you would have in a house, you wou
ld have where you live. I was planning on doing it this way, though Chelsee does
n't like the idea, saying the child needs more room. And I guess I do agree, chi
ldren do need a large area to be able to run around. It would be tight quarters
in something like that with a kid. This would make your bills extremely cheap, d
o to owning the thing you live in, you only pay lot rent and utilities. Comes up
to less then 500 dollars usually, so 250 from each of you. Not to mention both
of you also having a bike when you want to ride the bike instead of drive, this
saves you also (though you will have the truck to drive when you don't feel like
riding a bike). You would have Ereaders, to store hundreds, thousands of books
onto, though when I get my library back from Florida and build it up once more,
you would have the ability to read from it as well. So, overall, I think you two
would be comfortable with the situation. I've spoken to both of you about it, n
ether of you seem to mind it at all.

Goal Setting
It is important that we set goals for the short term, and for the future. We wan
t to set the longer term goals first, then base the short term goals off of thos
e. Like, the goal is to get you guys here, open the dojo. For me to do that, I h
ave a lot of short term goals I have to reach too. For the short term I have to
practice every single day, I have to lose weight and strengthen myself. I have t
o work on getting my dental fixed, and getting a job to save up my portion of th
e money to do this. All of this will help to add to the long term goal, of getti
ng the business done. I think it is important that we do this, and follow throug
h with it. It's the only way we will achieve the results we want.
