Extractors and Business Content for the Cross-Application Time Sheet (CATS)

Use
As of BW 3.0B, a new extractor and new business content is available for transferring data from the Time Sheet to the
Business Information Warehouse (BW).
Extractor
Previously, only the extractor CATS_BIW_GET_DATA was available, which supplied the DataSource 0CATS_IS_1 with
approved time sheet data. As of PlugIn 2002.1, the extractor CATS_BIW_GET_DATA2 is available for source systems
as of SAP R/3 4.6C to supply the DataSources listed under "Business Content" with time sheet data.
Business Content
Previously, you could only transfer approved working times to the Business Information Warehouse (BW). As of BW
3.0B, you can transfer both approved time sheet data and data that has been released for approval to BW. In BW, you
can evaluate the time sheet data either together or separately.
For this purpose, some business content for the Time Sheet has been updated. The following objects have been
affected:
DataSources
CA_TS_IS_1 (Time Sheet Data (Approved))
CA_TS_IS_2 (Time Sheet Data (Released for Approval))
In the standard system, a linked transfer of approved time sheet data and data that has been released for approval is
provided for. If this linkage does not fulfill your requirements, the Business Add-In (BAdI) CATSBW_CUST_ISOURCE
enables you to change or cancel it. This BAdI also provides you with additional options for transferring time sheet data.

This MultiCube contains data from the InfoCubes 0CATS_C01 and 0CATS_C02.
Queries
0CA_TS_Q1 (Tasks)
This query displays the sum of working times for any organizational units. The totals are displayed separately
according to task types and the overall total per organizational unit. The query is based on the MultiCube
0CATS_MC1. You can create your own queries according to this query template, and replace the task type
with one that suits your requirements.
Effects on Existing Data
The previous business content for the Time Sheet will still be delivered. This is also valid for the following template
queries that are based on the previous business content in the standard system:
0CATS_Q2 (Actual Times on Internal Orders)
0CATS_Q0003 (Actual Hours)
0CATS_Q1 (Actual Times on Network Activities)
You can create your own queries according to these query templates, and instead of using the previous InfoCube
0CATS_1, use the new MultiCube 0CATS_MC1.
