Dissection of Democracy: Multi + aims to promote participation of 33 young people
from 3 diferent countries in the social and public life of their countries and the
European Union's democratic processes using media and flm to raise awareness on
cultural cooperation! education for human rights and democratic citi"enship in the
conte#t of the forthcoming European $ear of De%elopment &'()*+,
-he pro.ect allows the young people to demonstrate their creati%ity! /nowledge and
s/ills by producing together an international short flm omnibus on youth ci%ic
issues,
During the youth e#change will be simulated the functioning of the European
authorities and institutions and the roles of decisionma/ers! learning to critically
analy"e political and social issues and to ma/e their %oice heard,
-he main ob.ecti%e of the pro.ect is to focus the young people on the fact that each
person is responsible for what is happening around him0her! being able to efect
society in a positi%e way,
-he participants themsel%es will choose among se%eral topics to re1ect in their own
flm pro.ects and discuss during the e#change:
$oung people's European citi"enship and acti%e participation in democratic life2
$outh unemployment and po%erty2
Marginalisation and inclusion of young migrants! disabled young people! and!
where rele%ant! 3oma youth2
4lobal en%ironmental challenges and climate change,
5urthermore! they will re%iew possible solutions to be implemented! in the light of
their own researches and in the presence of decisionma/ers and e#perts with a
%iew to fnd out their needs and wishes on matters relating to participation in
democratic life,
-he programme of 6Dissection of Democracy6 combines diferent acti%ities! informal
and nonformal learning methods! leading to the personal! socioeducational and
professional de%elopment of all participants and promoters in%ol%ed, 7t is based on
learning by e#perience! learning by doing and learning through interaction! as well
as on a system and processoriented approach with a strong personal learner
centered focus,
5acilitating direct contacts between young people! e#perts and decisionma/ers with
diferent cultural bac/ground but common interests and goals! the pro.ect will
enable them to put a stress on issues of interest and concern of paramount
importance for the whole European youth,
