Android Based Robot Using Bluetooth
Abstract
Automation also involves dedicated remote controls or Computers. As of now, for automation
purposes we use different wireless technologies and that process uses a PC, voice processor or
remote controller etc., these have their own limitations and results in decreased accuracy. In order
to provide more reliable and convenient automation we use android applications. Smart phones are
becoming more popular now a days and each of us are having a smart phone in present situation. So
by using dedicated applications on an android device complete automation can be done and this to a
great level will decrease the drawbacks caused by other conventional processes.
The control operation can be applied not by voice commands or through keypad or not even touch
sensors. It is done by simply rotating the phone both laterally and longitudinally. The project
leverages the functionalities of sensors built inside the smart phones and uses it along with the
hardware.
The project aims in the design of robotic control using an android device which can be operated just
by gestures. The robotic vehicle on receiving signal from the android device works according to the
received command. Not only the robotic control any additional hardware such as camera or valve
present upon the robot can be controlled.The project can be used to control many parameters and
even send text information to the robot. All these can be done by using simple gestures and the
person has to just give commands in the Android device.
This would be highly helpful for the people who are of high illness or accident victims who cannot
move nor do operations and for even common man who has a lot of things to do in hand and also on
Android device. No tower communication or mobile phone account balance or even SIM card is
necessary for communication. Further it does not necessitate carrying additional device as remote
controller or laptop to control. Simply a mobile phone is enough.

Existing System
1. In the Existing system, the robot should be controlled using a dedicated device.
2. An extra device has to be carried always.
3. Control through keys or voice.

Proposed System
1. In the Proposed system, No extra device is required, a simple user mobile is enough.
2. Apart from robotic control, it can also be used for other purposes such as device control in
homes or industrial machine control.
