7 ANALYSIS METHOD

The overall individual structure is analyzed for Static and Lateral loads due to
Earthquake/Wind loads and its combinations.
The analysis is conducted using standard software such as STAAD, Etabs and SAFE.

8. DESIGN ASSUMPTIONS

A) The design life of the structure is assumed as 50 years. This requirement is not
applicable to replaceable materials.
B) All R.C.C. structures will be designed according to the Limit State method as
specified in IS: 456-2000.
C) The R.C.C. structure is idealized as 3D space frame and analyzed using ETABS,
software for both vertical and lateral loads.
D) Forces and moments from the analysis output for the worst combinations are used for
the design of the structure.
E) Design of structural steel members as per IS: 800-1984
F) Expansion joint/strip to be provide at 45.0m (maximum) to control temperature effect.
G) Following buildings analyzed and designed with consideration of 1 typical floor
provision as per clients request
1) All Academic blocks,
2) Commercial complex,
3) Dispensary,
4) Faculty club,
5) Canteen,
6) Student Mess,
7) Estate Office.
