SPECIFICATION
1. GENERAL- Ordinary Portland cement can be used it should
confirm IS 269-1958 cement remain stored for more than60
days from date of receipt from factory shall be rejected.
2. COARSE AGGREGATE- It shall be hard broken stone or
similar stone free from dust and other organic material.
3. FINE AGGREGATE- Shall be of coarse sand consisting of
hard sharp and angular grain pass through 4.75mm square mesh.
4. WATER- Water should be clean. Free from alkaline and acid matter it
should be portable.
5. PROPORTION- Proportion should be (1:2:4)
6. MIXING- It should be carried out on smooth water tight platform of
suitable size depending on work either hand mixing or machine mixing is
preferred.
7. LAYING AND COMPACTION- It shall be properly laid in to formwork
and concrete should be laid slowly and gently. During compaction , proper
measure and methods are adopted.
8. FORMWORK Formwork shall be of timber , plywood or steel plate as
approved by standards.
