Abstract
In 1976, I. Sato [6], [7] introduced a structure similar to almost contact structure I and in 1977, a structure
similar to almost contact structure II. In 1977, T. Adati and K. Matsumoto [1] discussed on conformally recurrent
and conformally symmetric p-Sasakian manifolds. Also in 1979, K. Matsumoto and I. Sato [4] discussed on p-
Sasakian manifolds with satisfying certain conditions. The purpose of this paper is to study Lorentzian special para-
Sasakian manifold [2], [3], nearly LSP-Sasakian manifolds and almost LSP-Sasakian manifolds and some of their
properties. Semi-symmetric non-metric connection [5] has also been discussed.
Keywords: Nearly and almost LSP-Sasakian manifolds, generalised LP-Cosymplectic manifolds, semi-symmetric
non-metric connection, Completely Integrable manifold.

1. Introduction
An n-dimensional differentiable manifold

, on which there are defined a tensor field of type (1, 1), a

vector field , a 1-form and a Lorentzian metric g, satisfying for arbitrary vector fields , , ,
(1.1) = +(), = 0, () = 1, , () = 0, rank =n-1
(1.2) g (, ) =g (, ) + ()(), where () = (, ),
`(, ) , = `(, ),
Then

is called a Lorentzian paracontact manifold (an LP-Contact manifold)

Let D be a Riemannian connection on

, then we have
(1.3) (a) (

`) , + (

(b) (

(1.4) (a) (

(b) (

A Lorentzian paracontact manifold is called a Lorentzian special parasasakian manifold (an LSP-Sasakian manifold)
if
(1.5) (a) (

)() () `(, )T = 0 (

On this manifold, we have

Nijenhuis tensor in an LP-Contact manifold is given by
(1.7) `(, , ) =

`(, )

`(, ) (

`), + (

Where
`(, , ) (( , ), )
2. Nearly and almost Lorentzian special parasasakian manifold
An LP-contact manifold is called a nearly Lorentzian special parasasakian manifold (a nearly LSP-Sasakian
manifold) if
(2.1) (

`)(, ) () `(, ) () `(, )

= (

`)(, ) () `(, ) () `(, )

= (

`)(, ) () `(, ) () `(, )

The equation of a nearly LSP-Sasakian manifold can also be written as
(2.2) (a) (

) (

) () + () = 0
(b) (

`)(, ) (

`)(, ) () `(, ) + () `(, ) = 0

These equations can be modified as
(2.3) (a) (

) (

) + () = 0
(b) (

`),

`(, ) + () , = 0
(2.4) (a) (

) (

) + () = 0
(b) (

` (, ) + () `(, ) = 0
(2.5) (a) (

) (

) (){

+ (

)} + () = 0
(b)(

`)(, ) (

`)(, ) ()(

) + (

`)( , ) + () `(, ) = 0
An LP-Contact manifold is called an almost Lorentzian special parasasakian manifold (an almost LSP-Sasakian
manifold) if
(2.6) (

`)(, ) +(

`)(, ) + (

`)(, )
2{() `(, ) + () `(, ) +() `(, )} = 0
3. Generalised Lorentzian para-cosymplectic manifold
An LP-Contact manifold is called a generalised Lorentzian para-cosymplectic manifold (a generalised LP-
Cosymplectic manifold) if
(3.1) (a) (

) = 0
(b) (

`) , = 0
5

International J ournal of Computational Intelligence and Information Security, September 2014 Vol. 5, No. 6
ISSN: 1837-7823

Inconsequence of (1.3)(b) this equation can also be written as
(3.2) (a) (

) ()

) = 0
(b) (

`)(, ) ()(

) ()(

) = 0
Thus a generalised LP-Cosymplectic manifold is an LSP-Sasakian manifold if
(3.3)

=
An LP-Contact manifold is called a generalised nearly Lorentzian para-cosymplectic manifold (a generalised nearly
LP-Cosymplectic manifold) if
(3.4) (a) (

) (

) = 0 (b) (

`) , = (

`) , = (

`) ,
Or
(3.5) (

`)(, ) ()(

) ()(

= (

`)(, ) ()(

) ()(

= (

`)(, ) ()(

) ()(

It is clear that A nearly LSP-Sasakian manifold is a generalised nearly LP-Cosymplectic manifold, in which
(3.6) (a) (

) = ` , (b) (

)( ) = , (c)

=
An LP-Contact manifold is called a generalied almost LP-Cosymplectic manifold if
(3.7) (a) (

`) , +(

`) , + (

`) , = 0
(b) (

`)( , ) + (

`)( , ) +(

`)( , ) = 0
(c) (

`)(, ) + (

`)(, ) + (

`)(, ) ()(

) + (

)
()(

) +(

) ()(

) + (

) = 0
Therefore, A generalised almost LP-Cosymplectic manifold is an almost LSP-Sasakian manifold if
(3.8) (

) + (

) = 2 `(, )
4. Properties
From (1.5), we see that for LSP Sasakian manifold,

= 0. We will now consider nearly LSP-

Sasakian manifold
Putting T for X in (2.1), we get
(4.1) (

`)(, ) = (

) + `( , ) = (

) + `( , )
Hence
(4.2) (a) (

) = (

) (b)

= 0

Barring Y and Z in equation (4.1) and using (1.3) (b) and (4.2) (b), we get
(4.3) (

`)(, ) =

() `( , ) =

( ) `( , )
From (4.1) and (4.3), we obtain
(4.4) (a)

() + (

) = 2`( , ) (b) (

)() + (

)( ) = 2 ,
Hence on a nearly LSP-Sasakian manifold, (4.1), (4.2), (4.3) and (4.4) hold.
Almost LSP-Sasakian manifold will now be considered. Putting T for X in (2.6), we get
(4.5) (a) (

`)(, ) = (

) + (

) +2`( , ) (b)

= 0
Barring Y and Z in equation (4.5) (a) and using (1.3) (b), we get
(4.6) (

`)(, ) =

()

( ) 2`( , )
From (4.5) (a) and (4.6), we obtain
(4.7) (a)

() + (

) +

( ) +(

) + 4`( , ) = 0
(b)

+(

)() + (

5. Semi-symmetric non-metric connection
Let us consider a connection on

, defined by
(5.1)

+()
The torsion tensor of is given by
(5.2) (, ) = () ()
Further, if
(5.3) (

)(, ) +()(, ) + ()(, ) = 0,

then is called a semi-symmetric non-metric connection.
Put
(5.4)

+ (, )
Where is a tensor field of type (1, 2), then
(5.5) (a) (, ) = ()
(b) `(, , ) = ()(, )
(c) `(, , ) = `(, , ) `(, , )
Where
`(, , ) (( , ), )

An LP-contact manifold is called a nearly LSP-Sasakian manifold if

from (3.3) and (5.6) (a), we se that a generalised LP-Cosymplectic manifold is an LSP-Sasakian manifold if

Theorem 5.1 A nearly LSP-Sasakian manifold is a generalised nearly LP-Cosymplectic manifold, in which

Proof. Using (3.6) (a), (3.6) (b), (3.6) (c), (5.6) (a) and (5.6) (b) the result follows by simple computation.
Theorem 5.2 A generalised almost LP-Cosymplectic manifold is an almost LSP-Sasakian manifold if

6. Completely Integrable manifolds
Barring, , in (5.6) (f) and using equations (5.7), (5.6) (d), we get `( , , ) =0,which implies that a
nearly LSP-Sasakian manifold is completely integrable.
Barring X, Y, Z in (5.6) (f) and using equations (5.8) (b), (5.6) (d), we can prove that an almost LSP-Sasakian
manifold is completely integrable if
(6.1) (

7. Conclusion and Future Research
From above results, I have obtained a relation between a nearly LSP-Sasakian manifold and a generalised nearly
LP-Cosymplectic manifold with some conditions with respect to semi-symmetric non-metric connection B. Also I
have obtained a relation between a generalised almost LP-Cosymplectic manifold and an almost LSP-Sasakian
manifold with some conditions with respect to semi-symmetric non-metric connection B. In future, we can find some
relations between these manifolds with some conditions with respect to other connections like quarter symmetric etc.
