We hope you had a great break, got lots of rest, and are ready to hit (KSUF Housing Management LLC)
the ground running for a successful Spring semester! Many of you Offices located in the UV Suites, Village
Centre, and University Place Town Hall
did very well in the Fall. We had 221 residents who earned a perfect Phone: 770-426-0668
4.0 GPA! We had 1750 residents earn over a 3.0 (which is almost leasing@ksuhousing.com
100 more students over 3.0 from Fall 08). That is over 58% of all Hours: Mon – Fri: 9 am – 6 pm
residential students who earned the required GPA to maintain the Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
HOPE scholarship. Great job!

Welcome back from the holiday to our current residents and Welcome
home to our new residents! We are so excited that you chose to live on
campus with us. If there is anything that we can do to make your living
experience more enjoyable, please feel free to contact one of the
leasing offices. We hope you all enjoy the next semester here with us.
Resident Portal is a quick and convenient way to pay your rental
installment each month, and a fast way to submit work order requests
right from your room or phone- anywhere you have internet access! If
you need assistance setting up an account, please stop by or call the
leasing office and we would be happy to help.
Rent Reminder:
Please remember to make your rental installments on or before the 1st
of every month. A $50.00 late fee will be assessed to all accounts on
the 6th, 10th and 15th.
If anytime you are attempting to make your payment through the
resident portal and find that you are having difficulty, please
bring a check or money order in the office. Checks can be left in
the drop boxes located at each community. This option is for
afterhours rent drop offs as well.
University Place is “Going Green!”
Please remember that we have recycling
bins located by the garbage containers
at each end of the community.
Lock Outs: January 1-11 we will not charge for any lock-outs. This is the
time period that we will allow you to get acclimated to living in the
housing. Please remember January 12th the amnesty period is over and the
following lock-out fees will apply.
Lock-out Fees: The fee is 25.00 payable by check or money order.
Anytime and every time you are locked-out you will be charged the $25.00 fee.
If you are ever locked-out, below is the procedure to gain entrance to your
apartment.
Day: stop by the leasing office for your community with your photo ID and you
will be issued a temporary card/key.
Night: call the RA on-call or on call emergency maintenance to gain access. You
must have a photo ID. There is a $25 fee for each lock out day or night after the
amnesty period is over. If you lose your keys and need a replacement key
or key card, you can request these at the leasing office. There is a
$25 key card and $5-$25 hard key replacement fee.
The leasing office does not accept cash.

Current residents will have the opportunity to renew
their same room for the 2010-2011 school year starting
January 18th, It will only cost you $100.00!
So start thinking now about staying with us for
another year. Remember, if you don’t renew by
February 22nd someone else can get your room!
Dates for displaced and voluntary transfer time periods
can be found on our website at www.KSUHousing.com.
Residents in buildings KSU Place 100, 200 and D,
University Village 2000 and University Village Suites
3000 and 4000 will receive instructions on how to
secure another room on campus for 10-11. You will be
able to choose your new rooms March 15th (10am)-
March 25th. See your community office for details!
Health & Safety
Inspections
The RAs will be performing the January
H&S Inspections between January 11-22.
Notices will be posted on your
floor/building with the specific date
and time ranges when your unit will
be inspected.
The RA is making sure everything appears
to be functioning properly without any
hazards or policy violations.
If you have any maintenance concerns,
enter a work order in Resident Portal (don’t
assume your RA will see it and report it).
All doors will be locked upon completion of
the inspection, so keep your key with you
at all times to avoid lockout charges.

IMPORTANT ENROLLMENT
REMINDER:
You must be a full-time student enrolled for
Spring semester classes at KSU to live in
campus housing. Please plan accordingly when
registering for classes.
FOR STUDENTS UNDER 30 CREDIT HOURS:
Remember that there is a higher meal plan
requirement until AFTER you earn 30 or
more credit hours, regardless of how many
years you have attended KSU.

BEFORE you make any enrollment decisions.
If you will not be enrolled for Spring semester, or
you drop all your classes during the semester,
you must vacate housing and formally check out
with the management company at the leasing
office where you live. You are still responsible for
the terms of your housing contract unless you
transfer or cancel it.

 Form small study groups
– find one person doing
better than you in the
class, and one doing
about the same or worse.
As you help your
struggling peers you’ll
learn more.
 Create a one page
summary sheet for each
exam condensing core
info from notes, texts,
and online into one
source for studying.
 ALWAYS go to class –
you’d be amazed how
much you retain just from
being there. Even if you
are unprepared and
fearing a pop quiz, some
points are better than no
points, so show up!

If you don’t have a car on campus, you can opt-out of
the parking permit fee for spring semester and save
$$$! The deadline is FAST approaching, so visit the
website below NOW:

All residential students with cars MUST park in their
designated parking zones. Failure to do so can result
in ticketing or towing. KSU Place residents may park
in the North Deck if there are no spaces left at KSU
Place, but University Village and Suites residents
may NOT park at KSU Place. Guest parking is
limited, and visitors may only park in designated
spaces or on the top level of the North Deck.
Faculty/Staff parking is enforced even when
classes are not in session, and all permit required
and handicap spaces are enforced 24/7/365.

The Village Walk-in Clinic
(UV5000 bldg, next to Gateway News)
is open and ready to serve you!
The Village Walk-in Clinic is open
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
from 8AM to 5:30PM
& Wednesday from 9:30AM to 5:30PM.
The Village Walk-in Clinic will see patients
for sick visits only. All scheduled appointments will
continue to be seen in the KSU Clinic in House #52 on
Campus Loop Road. Other services include UTI, bladder
infections, STD testing, and acute women’s issues.
Selected over the counter medications and condoms are
available for free.
