New Student Orientation Procedure
After completion of the admissions application, all new students are required to complete the New
Student Orientation. The orientation will help you become familiar with college life, understand what is
expected from you as a student, and learn about college programs and services that will help you succeed
in college.
The orientation will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete. We encourage you to carefully
review each section of the orientation as it will provide you with valuable information to help you succeed
in college.
Please note:
In order to access the orientation you must first apply for admission and upon receiving your student ID
number via email you will be able to login to WebAdvisor and access the orientation.
We recommend you use a desktop or laptop computer with Internet Explorer or Safari as a web browser.
Also, please make sure audio has been enabled.
If you currently have an orientation hold, completing the orientation will clear your orientation hold within
48 business hours, Monday - Friday.

Follow these steps to access the online orientation:
1. Visit www.webadvisor.scccd.edu
2. Click on the <image001.jpg> button at the top right corner of the page.
3. User ID - Your User ID is your last name followed by an underscore and your student ID number all
together. Example: lastname_studentID
(If you dont know your student ID number you can click on the <image002.png> link on the left
side of the page, enter your last name and student ID or social security number in the boxes
provided and WebAdvisor will display your user ID on the screen.)
4. Password - If this is your first time logging into WebAdvisor, your password will be your six-digit
birthdate in this format MMDDYY.
(Example: If you were born on May 1, 1997, your password should be 050197). When you enter
your birthdate as your password, WebAdvisor will prompt you to select a new, permanent
password before it logs you in.)
5. If WebAdvisor accepts your user ID and password, it will take you back to the Main Menu page. If
it does not, a red error message will appear at the top of the page, with information about the
problem. If you need help, please contact the Help Desk at 442-8240 with the error message you
were given.
6. After you log in, click on the <image003.jpg> link on the main menu.
7. Under the Online Orientation section, click on the online orientation link of the college you will
be attending.
