POST OF ENGINEERING ASSISTANT (CIVIL)





Applications are hereby invited from citizens of Sri Lanka who possess following qualifications
for the above vacancies.

Prospective candidate will to be a partner of one of the most prestigious water supply projects
in the region and will enhance your career prospects and should not miss this opportunity,
which may come once in your lifetime. The works include design; construction and project
management of infrastructure connected with Greater Kandy Water Supply Project and consists
of construction of service reservoirs, pipelines, pump stations etc. Mainly Construction
supervision work of Reservoir, Pump station and distribution lines in Medawala, Rajapihilla
areas in Kandy District.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

National Diploma in Technology (NDT) / Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE) /
National Diploma in Engineering Sciences of Institute of Engineering Technology (NDES of IET)
or equivalent qualifications in the field of Civil Engineering.

Age Limit : Below 35 years of age on the closing date of applications

Salary Scale : Negotiable, but will be based on the Management Services
Circular No. 33 of 5th April, 2007.

Location : Greater Kandy Water Supply Project, Katugastota, Kandy

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of one year and is subject to renewal
depending on the performance and exigency of service. All conditions of the Management
Service Circular No. 33 of 05.04.2007 will apply to the appointment.

METHOD OF SELECTION

Based on the highest qualifications and experience applicants will be short listed and such
applicants will be called for an interview (including an aptitude test) and the selection will be
based on the performance at the interview.


Applications giving full bio-data with contact details (telephone, fax, e-mail) for immediate
communication together with copies of certificates of educational and professional
qualifications, experience, past service details together with addresses and contact numbers of
two non related referees should be sent under registered cover or by email to reach the
following address on or before 14

Effective dates of the relevant educational certificates are to be given. If those details are not
available with copies of certificates application will be rejected.

Applications sent by e-mail should attach scanned copies of all certificates. Those sent without
scanned certificates attachments will not be considered for selection.

Aptitude test and the interview will be held as follows and these will be informed through E-
mail or SMS and all applicants are expected to have E-mail and SMS facilities.
