ZURDOS

Ser diestro o zurdo es la consecuencia de un proceso de evolucin de nuestro

sistema nervioso, necesario para elevar el grado de complejidad funcional del
cerebro. La evolucin normal del cerebro busca que un ojo, el odo, la mano y
el pie de un mismo lado del cuerpo sean dominantes, es decir, una lateralidad
homognea. Un nio menor de un ao an no ha conseguido definir su
lateralizacin; es ambidiestro, es decir, desarrolla con ambas manos la misma
habilidad. Es entre los 2 y 4 aos cuando se establece la preferencia definitiva
de una mano sobre otra.
Algunos estudios afirman que la gentica es una de las causas de la zurdera.
Un nio de padre zurdo tiene aproximadamente un 10% de probabilidad de
serlo tambin. En el caso de que sea la madre zurda esta probabilidad
aumenta hasta un 20%. Y si tanto el padre como la madre son zurdos, el nio
puede ser zurdo en un 50%.
Sin embargo, existen otros factores que tambin explican el por qu un nio
nace zurdo. Existen investigaciones que relacionan un alto nivel de
testosterona (hormona masculina) presente en el tero de la madre antes del
nacimiento del beb. Otras revelan que lesiones en un hemisferio cerebral del
beb, durante el embarazo o en los dos primeros meses de vida, pueden
inducir que uno de ellos se desarrolle ms. Si es el hemisferio izquierdo el
lesionado, probablemente se desarrolle la zurdera.
Otra causa puede ocurrir durante los escneres y ecografas por ultrasonidos,
en los embarazos, porque puedan afectar al cerebro del feto, haciendo con que
desarrolle una personalidad zurda.
En lo particular, si es difcil adaptarse al mundo de los diestros,
independientemente de las creencias y teoras cientficas donde cuestionan
nuestro origen, aun as de ser discriminados por personas diestras, nuestro
objetivo solo se basa en nuestras necesidades desde temprana edad, al
escribir, al recortar, al comer, a cada una de estas actividades sin darnos
cuenta presentamos cierta dificultad pero aun as logramos nuestras metas por
ms absurdas que suenen para un diestro.







LEFTIES
