CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
1.1 AIM OF THE PROJECT
The Main Aim of the Project is to Deliver the Cash Faster and Easier in Emergency when ATM Card Holder is Out of Station Using GSM.
1.2 INTRODUCTION
When the ATM card holder is out of station and if any emergency transaction has to be done it is very difficult for the Card holder to reach the distant place and complete the transactions and it takes very long time. Hence by using this Project Cash transactions can be done Faster and Easier without any ATM card. When the ATM card holder is out of station then in such conditions in case of any cash transactions to be done urgently then he/she can pay by sending the executive to the nearest ATM Centre, telling him to insert his/her GSM SIM card into the GSM Module which is provided to the ATM Machine. Then a message is been sent to the Card Holder Mobile number from that GSM number, requesting for the password then if the Card Holder enters the password and send it to the GSM SIM number which is inserted in the GSM Module at the ATM centre then the ATM Machine will be activated under the Card Holder ATM and then the executive who is at the ATM centre can type the amount and can collect the money at the ATM Centre. After the Transaction is completed a message is again send to the Card Holder Mobile number which indicates the amount drawn by the executive at the ATM Centre.
Thus by using this Project, the ATM Money Transfer can be achieved without ATM card and with the permission of ATM Card Holder, by providing a GSM Module at each and every ATM Centre and by inserting a GSM SIM into that GSM Module.

2.2 CIRCUIT ANALYSIS:
Microcontroller used in this project is AT89C51; all the components are interfaced to the MC AT89C51 as shown in the above Circuit Diagram.
Port 0 of the MC is interfaced to the Keypad which allows the executive at the ATM Centre to type the Amount needed.
Port 2 of the MC is interfaced to the LCD display Data lines (D0 – D7).
The Switches connected to the pins 14 and 15 (P3.4 and P3.5) of the MC are placed to select the ATM card user. Switch connected to the pin 14 selects the User1 and switch connected to the pin 15 selects User2.
MAX-232 is interfaced with the MC pins 10 and 11 (P3.0 and P3.1).
GSM Module is connected to the MC through RS-232 and MAX-232. A GSM SIM will be inserted into this Module and a User is select using the switches provided. As soon as the SIM is inserted and the ATM Card User is selected GSM Module will send a message requesting for the password or pin-code of the ATM to the GSM Mobile of the ATM Card User selected. The ATM card user now sends the pin-code of the ATM, this message is received by the GSM Module and if that pin-code is the correct pin-code, ATM Machine will be activated. Now the executive at the ATM Centre can type the Amount needed and can collect the cash at the ATM Centre.
A Motor Driver IC L293D is also connected to the MC AT89C51 pins 5 and 6 (P1.4 and P1.5), which is used to driver a DC Motor indicating that the transaction is going on.
A Buzzer circuit is also provided and connected to the MC AT89C51 pin 3 (P1.2), this Buzzer indicates the completion of the transaction. As soon as the transaction is completed GSM Module sends a confirmation message to the ATM Card User Mobile indicating the amount drawn from the user account. Then the executive can collect the GSM SIM which is inserted into the GSM Module.
