Opened in 2003,
the Stevenage
Centre provides
a state-of-the-
art learning
environment
for students
with dedicated
classrooms,
communal
workspaces
and quiet study
areas. The ground
floor houses the
Students Union
and the Link
Lounge where
students can get
help with work
placements, CV
writing and job
applications.
The second
floor is home
to the Gazelle
STEM Centre,
a specially
designed teaching
facility and
exhibition space
for science,
technology,
engineering and
maths.
The purpose-built
Stevenage Skills
Centre consists
of five large
units, divided up
to provide the
optimum learning
atmosphere and
experience for
students.
The centre is
home to the
NHC Service
Centre, run by
fully supervised
students who
offer vehicle
servicing and
repairs to
members of
the public at a
discounted rate.

Level 3 motor vehicle apprentice
Michael Young appeared on
Channel 4s Sunday evening
classic car restoration show, For
the love of cars.

Michael has been working for
Evanta Motor Company for
three years, starting as a level 2
motor vehicle apprentice before
progressing to level 3. During
Michaels time at Evanta the
company has grown from strength
to strength, building bespoke
modern cars influenced by 1950s
designs.

Evanta and Managing Director Ant
Anstead also featured on Channel
4s classic car restoration show,
For the love of cars, and Michael
appeared on this episode, in
which he restored a classic Mini.

Michaels apprenticeship has
enabled him to continually
expand his knowledge, and
speaking about Michael, Ant
said: He has come on leaps and
bounds and throws himself into
tasks. Michael is a valued part
of the team and soon will be able
to complete the whole car build
start to finish!

autonomous navigation system
