SAP Workflow Customization Settings (How to do)

This document details the basic workflow customization that needs to be done in any SAP system before
activating the workflow definitions.
Go to transaction SWU. !"or this demo# we have used an $%% &.' ()$S system*
The descri+tion or the hel+ for each of the above ste+s are available on the right side of the screen.
Configure RFC Destination
This can be done automatically or manually. (f done automatically# as mentioned on the right side frame#
the logical ,"% destination W-,."/-W0/-%A/0111 is created 2if not available3. 111 is the client
number. Also the user W"45AT%6 is also created if not already available.
The advantage of e7ecuting the above ste+ manually is we can maintain another user and +assword as
re8uired.
Select the ste+ 9%onfigure ,"% destination: and click on ";.
(f you ha++en to get the following +o+u+# click on <es.
-nce the ,"% destination# you can see the Green Tick mark beside 9%onfigure ,"% )estination: 2as
shown in the screenshot below3
Maintain Workflow System Administrator
Since the system being used for this demo is an ()$S system# some user is maintained as workflow
administrator. <ou can change this to the desired User using this ste+.
Select 9=aintain Workflow System Administrator: and click on ">.
?ow you can change the Userid to the desired one.
The ste+s 9=aintain Active Plan @ersion:# 9%lassify )ecision Task as General:# 9)ocument
GenerationA"orm (ntegration:# and 9=aintain Time Units: are already in Green. (f not in Green# select the
corres+onding ste+ and click on ";. The automatic configuration would be done.

Schedule Background Job for Missed Deadlines

Maintain !refi" #umbers
All the obBects related to workflow 2standard task# workflow tasks and others3 are assigned a eight digit
number. The +refi7 number is used for the first digits and the rest five is automatically assigned by the
system 2starting with ''''D3.
Select 9=aintain Prefi7 ?umbers: and click on ">.
%lick on )is+lay!4*%hange.
%lick on create.
$nter a +refi7 number which is not allocated to any other client in the system.
Save your entries.

workflows in SAP ,A.

We can choose one of the two o+tions to test the workflow configuration. /et us chose the first one.
