FireClass?
Designed and engineered in Europe, FireClass technology
is part of Tyco International, the world leader in re and
security solutions. Tyco has been specialising in re detection
control equipment for the last 50 years. Our team of expert
engineers and designers have been developing re detection
solutions for a wide range of environments from simple
conventional systems to complex integrated systems for
hazardous industrial installations.

FireClass is a revolutionary new class of commercial re detection system.
Comprising a comprehensive range of fully approved quality products designed
and manufactured in Europe, FireClass is designed to appeal to both the end user
and installer. It is the latest re detection technology packaged as an easy to install,
out-of-the-box, digital open-protocol solution.

The digital protocol has been used in the marine and
offshore industries for over 20 years and has been
proven to withstand poor, damp and damaged cables in
the most hostile environments. FireClass uses a robust
digital protocol that supports various wiring congurations
to simplify installation and retrot applications easily.
FireClass is exible for all types of environments where
people, property and asset protection is important, from
schools and hospitals to ofces, industrial and retail premises.

In order to ensure peace of mind for both the installer and
end user, FireClass products are third party approved and
certied to the relevant European standards. FireClass
approvals go beyond the minimum requirements including,
EN54 detector approval in all detection modes and dual EN54
detection and EN12094 gas releasing approvals on the
J400 panels.
Ease of installation and engineering underpins the concept
of FireClass. It runs throughout the product range.
For example the new FC501 panel has been conceived to
be extremely easy to install and use, allowing the installati-
on and conguration in just a few simple steps.
Features like Auto Addressing, Intelli-Zone, On line Help
function, USB interface make FC501 an out of the box
panel which requires basic training only.

re detection products range from the
low cost DuoCEL 2 zone panel to the
powerful and expandable 32 zone
Precept EN.
These are complemented by an
enviable range of conventional
re detectors and accessories
focused on providing
comprehensive protection
and minimum false alarms.

from the easily installable
out-of-the-box stand alone
FireClass FC501 to the 2
loops FireClass 520
networkable digital
protocol panel. FireClass
Addressable uses a
powerful digital open-protocol
for high reliability and exibility
in installation.

Conventional Control Panel
FireClass conventional technology ranges from the
J408-2 2 zones panel up to the versatile and
expandable J424-8 panel.
Addressable Control Panels
The FireClass Addressable
comprises the entry level triple
circuit single loop panel FC501
with 128 addresses and the
1 and 2 loop panels with up
to 250 addresses per loop,
and with 64 or 128 zones.
Up to 4 repeaters and
maximum 8 panels can
be connected in a
RS485 network.

Sounders
A wide range of addressable sounders and bells are
available with high sound output characteristics. Easy to
install, hence lowering installation time and costs, the
sounders with their clean modern style are suitable for a wide
range of environments. The range also includes weatherproof
units for outdoor use.

Detection Range
Resilience to false alarms is highly important for any
detection system. The FireClass range of high qua- lity
optical smoke and multi-sensor smoke detec-
tors and triple sensor detectors provide the
ultimate in false alarm rejection.
With two-detectors-in-one this allows
various false alarm reduction strategies and
the Day/Night mode reduces false alarms when
the building is occupied.
The FireClass range of detectors
include separate optical and heat,
combined optical and heat, and Triple
Sensing technology combining CO,
optical and heat in one detector.
Detector bases and accessories
The range of standard, isolator,
sounder and sounder/beacon bases
can be programmed via a download
to adjust volume and tone.
The analogue addressable indoor
and outdoor call-points are suitable
for many environments.

FireClass
Console Software
FC500 Software Console, the highly exible and
powerful programming tool that has been used
successfully with FireClass systems since day one.
FireClass 500 Graphic Maps is a client/server
emergency management system and re detection
graphical user interface. The new FireClass
Console software, compatible with the triple loop
FC501 panel provides all benets provided by the
FireClass 500 Console with enhanced usability and
even nicer graphics.
FireClass Graphic Maps is a Microsoft Windows

based graphical interface with a high resolution colour
display and provides annunciation, status display
incorporating the latest FireClass Technology re
detection systems.
Available for free download in the FireClass website.
FireClass
Loop Programmer
The FireClass programming tool allows the re alarm
engineer to quickly address detectors, callpoints
and accessories and also provides useful diagnostic
functions. Not only saving time, but providing valuable
device information, the LCD screen displays
conrmation of the device address and can also
provide status information with sensor readings in
degrees C, percentage obscuration of smoke and
carbon monoxide levels in parts per million.
FC501 offers the auto addressing feature and loop
programmer is not required.
