of In*onesian cities: 6hat are the !ain co!0onents of the soun*sca0e an* ho1 *o resi*ents e50erience
urban soun*s7 The soun*sca0e has chan2e* in the course of histor. throu2h the interconnecte* 0rocesses
of !o*erni8ation an* 2lobali8ation# an* .et# the In*onesian urban soun*sca0e has %e0t its *istincti4e
character/ This article is an atte!0t to see 1hether social scientists can stu*. so!ethin2 as intan2ible as
noise in a !eanin2ful 1a./ The article stan*s in the tra*ition of the stu*. of chan2in2 to1nsca0es or urban
