CCOT Essay outline: Evaluate the significance of the continuities and changes brought by Muslim trade in Europe, Africa and the Indian Ocean regions. Include cultural and political changes as well as the trade routes they used or established. Identify the location of trading centers, the goods carried and the cultures which were involved in this trade. Trade was always a major part of life from the beginning. There was always some sort of trade or exchange that took place from the beginning of our human story. There was a significant amount of continuities and changes brought in Europe, Africa and the Indian Ocean regions. These significant continuities and changes will be shown and addressed in order of Muslim trade in Europe, then Africa and finally Indian Ocean regions. There will also be varios sub points addressing the cultural and political changes of these trade routes in these regions. Firstly, with the rapidly growing Muslim culture, Muslims decided to expand; ways they expanded was through trade this also resulted in the spread of their religions. Europe was one of the regions that Muslims attempted to infiltrate. At the time Europe was insanely die hard Christians so there was no way that the Muslims could have spread the gospel. The Europeans wanted nothing to do with the Muslims. Now onto the African region, with the Muslims blooming, Muslims were able to further their trade dominance. Muslims were always traders and the continued to trade with Africa on the trans-Saharan trade route. Muslims trade everything from potter to pelts with the African regions. So Muslim was quite successful in Africa. The cause and effect of Muslim trade in Africa was the spread of culture. It wasnt a significant change in cultural but there was a change. Politically there was no change Africa continued on their same track politically. Finally the Indian Ocean Region, Muslims were also able to trade with the Indians. It was friendly and there was trade but no Muslim adoption. The cultural continued. The cause of trade to Indians was adoption of boats for the Muslims and other great ideas.
