Description verjinia foods ltd. brief history promoters verjinia foods ltd. is set
up by ms. smita r. pethe & mr. rajiv thatte. ms. pethe is b. sc. m.a.m. from
mumbai university. she has 20 years experience in manufacturing of foods, edible
oils, and cosmetics products on large volumes. ms. pethe is currently doing her
ph.d in economics with subject related to foods industry. ms. pethe has visited
united kingdom & usa and have studied the market potential for food products over
there. she has also test launched verjinia products in these countries and
response to quality, packing & brand was excellent. mr. thatte is b. pharm (hones)
from udct and m.m.s. (finance) from jamnalal bajaj institutes of management
studies. mr. thatte has also done entrepreneurship development program from iim
(ahemdeabad). mr. thatte has experience of herbal medicines, edible oils and
cosmetics industry for last 23 years. he is approved as technical expert for
manufacturing drugs & pharmaceuticals, foods, spices etc. by fda, maharashtra..
location our unit is located at digha, navi mumbai. this midc area is declared by
government of india an agricultural export zone (aez0) and special economic zone
(sez). midc plot area is 25000 sq.ft. and rcc construction is 8000 sq. ft. this is
an area approved for food industry. finance our project is finance by export
import bank of india (exim bank). total terms loan sanctioned is us $ 3 lakhs.
exim bank has also sanctioned market development term loan of rs. 40 lakhs.
interest rate for term loan is only 4 % and for market development term loan. it
is 12%. exports our unit is engaged in exports. our indirect exports are to dubai,
australia, uk, usa etc. last year our direct export has been done to ghana.
product range we are in manufacturing of various food products. main products
manufactured / to be manufactured are as below. : � instant mixes (idli, dosa,
vada mix, gulab jamun mix, kheer mix) � pouches of curried vegetables (palak
paneer, muter paneer, chole, navaratankorma etc. ) � spices / spice gravies
(chilly, turmeric, coriander powder & other spice & gravies) � mango pulp ( mango,
kesar mango, etc. ) � other food related items including sorted, processed, packed
grains pulses etc. licencing we have obtained all required licenses like fpo,
mpfa, central excise, sales tax. we have water pollution board noc, midc noc, mseb
power connection. our unit is also registered as exporter with rbi, spice board,
apeda etc. we have launched our instant mixes & heat & eat vegetables in bombay
market six months before. we are getting excellent response as our quality is
export oriented & packing is also attractive. verjinia products are now available
at big bazaar, d � mart, true mart, giant, haiko etc. in mumbai. verjinia foods
ltd. is engaged in packing of chilly, turmeric & coriander powder for everest
brand for last 2 years. verjinia foods ltd. is packing 100 tons of ctc on
automatic filling machinery in 50 & 100 gm. sizes. packing of 200 gm., 500 gm. &
100gm is done manually. verjinia foods ltd. is offering services to selmax export
(i) ltd. to export one container per week of all items to dubai after cleaning,
packing manufacturing etc. verjinia has started 2 more activities in last couple
of months. one is sub contract manufacturing for shangi foods to process all type
of sauce & jams. another job work undertaken by verjinia is to grind & pack spices
for malabar foods pvt. ltd. product dubai based organisation under their brand
name �shama�. product launch abroad verjinia wants to now launch its food products
in selected cities in usa/uk launching of products require special promotional
efforts, advertisement, conference of nris in each town sampling, employment of
managerial & executive marketing staff to ensure reaching of products to
customers. local newspapes, websites and tv medias will be used for launch
campaign. verjinia would like to hire godown cum office at 20 points as detailed
below herewith in phased manner. verjinia has already finalized this type of
arrangement with one importer in u.k. who will work as marketing associate for
verjinia. verjinia wants to finalise similar arrangement in u.s.a. as well.
verjinia wants to participate in exibitions in these countries in coming years to
make publicity of all food items verjinia foods ltd. is an export-oriented
project. it falls under priority category being a agro based food project.
verjiniatm brands are appreciated by reputed companies like reliance infocom ltd.,
l & t infocom ltd., l & t infocom ltd and patni computers. all three organization
have expressed their support to verjiniatm . verjiniatm will provided with net/e-
mail address of all employees working abroad for these three companies. they will
also give brief to all their staff proposed for posting abroad for verjiniatm
brands. this will give committed loyal customers to verjiniatm in the future.
product launch in india presently verjinia is supplying products directly to all
malls in mumbai. verjinia wants to make all products available in chennai,
banglore, hyderbad, kerla in next 6 to 9 months time. verjinia is planning to hire
in these areas godown cum office to supply the goods to mall & directly to web
mall customers. this will like a pilot plant for verjinia�s activities in u.s.a. &
u.k. etc. verjinia got excellent response from i.t. industries to make these
products available in india. verjinia wants to tie up with these infotech
companies to make verjinia food items available to their employees in india &
abroad. this will give verjinia ready �a� class clients those are interested in
quality products by establishing franchise network in metro cities.

In 1929 a small company by the name of Parle products emerged in British dominated
India. The intent was to spread joy and cheer to children and adults alike, all
over the country with its sweets and candies. The company knew that it wouldn�t be
an easy task, but they decided to take the brave step. A small factory was set up
in the suburbs of Mumbai, to manufacture sweets and toffees. A decade later it was
upgraded to manufacture biscuits as well. Since then, the Parle name has grown in
all directions, won international fame and has been sweetening people's lives all
over India and abroad.
Apart from the factories in Mumbai and Bangalore Parle also has factories in
Bahadurgarh in Haryana and Neemrana in Rajasthan, which are the largest biscuit
and confectionery plants in the country. Additionally, Parle Products also has 7
manufacturing units and 51 manufacturing units on contract.

and salted cream, wafer cr�me, cumin seed and cheese categories.

In Tamil Nadu, traditionally, women decorate various dolls made of clay during
Navaratri celebrations by setting up 7-9 steps. This display is well decorated and
friends and relatives are invited to witness the same. Through a detailed
research, Parle found that due to time pressures, this tradition is slowly dying
and is getting restricted to a select few households.
Thus, to revive the fading event, Parle introduced this novel promotion called
Parle Golu Galata contest. Golu means Doll & Galata means Dhammal.
