West Papua Group: Many West Papuans have been living in refugee camps in PNG
for over 30 years. A Christmas Hamper raffle will raise funds to help them become
more self sufficient. Tickets available next weekend.

St Josephs Family Groups: All are invited to stay for a cuppa and chat following

CONGRATULATIONS
A warm welcome to the Sisters of St John of God, Bishop Paul Bird, past and
present staff and members of the community who have gathered today (10.30am
Mass) to acknowledge 75 years of healthcare ministry in Warrnambool.
St John of God Hospital Warrnambool thank the community for their wonderful
support over the years and being present today to celebrate this significant occasion.

Catholic Mission: October is Mission Month. Funds raised
helps give people the opportunity for a full, enriched life -
physically and spiritually - regardless of race, stigma, religion or
gender. Env. available next weekend



Australia Premiere: The Day is Ended: St Josephs is the venue for a new
Cantata composed by Warrnambools Ken Stott, who will conduct this premiere
performance. Featuring combined choirs, Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra and the
pipe organ. Saturday October 25th at 7.30pm. Tickets $20 & $15 from Collins

Proclaim Conference: At the Proclaim Conference in Sydney it was suggested that
parishes need to build on ways to make our Ministry more welcoming. The weekend
Mass is the focus. All agreed that even though we should acknowledge and rejoice in
what we are doing well, there is always room for improvement.

Sustainability & Ecology Focus: Christian culture has always recognised the
creatures that surround humans as gifts of God to be nurtured and safeguarded with a
sense of gratitude to the Creator. (No 464 Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the
Church)

Emmanuel College: Year 10s have just finished their final round of work
experience - thank you to all the businesses that support this program.
Congratulations to the VCE Media students who were shortlisted for the Silent Film
Festival. The Mellows (student band) have been reaching No 1 of the Triple J
Unearthed High charts nation wide.

Car Boot Sale: Emmanuels Young Vinnies group are running the sale in the Ardlie
