DESCRIPTION OF A BUSINESS

Power Quencher will be a sole trader business, which will be producing fruit juice o weekdays
from 0800 hours to 2000 hours. Power Quencher will be using a variety of fixed fruits to create
its product. Power Quencher will also be part of h tertiary industry.
The objectives of Power Quencher are to:
Maximize profit
Create employment
Develop the community by providing a service.























JUSTIFICATION OF LOCATION


Power Quencher will be located at 311 Regent Plaza Georgetown, Guyana.

Three reasons why the location for this business was chosen are:
There is availability of proper infrastructure (e.g. electricity, water and roads etc.)
There is easy access to raw materials.
There is easy access to adequate transportation.
















SELECTION OF APPROPRIATE LABOUR

Power Quencher will be employing semi skilled labour and unskilled labour.
Power Quencher needs semi skilled persons to work because it requires a minimum or less
amount of training for persons to perform their jobs, while unskilled persons does not need any
sort of training and education to perform their job and for Power Quencher to make a profit.


Duties of prospective employees:
One cashier cashing goods produce
One security guard guard and protect the properties of Power Quencher.
Two juice maker prepare different flavors of juice.
Two cleaners to maintain and clean the environment and area of power Quencher.













SOURCES OF FIXED AND WORKING CAPITAL

Fixed capital is that portion of total capital that is invested in fixed assets ( such as lands,
buildings , vehicle, plants and equipment) that stay in the business almost permanently or at the
very least for more than one accounting period. Fixed assets can be purchased by a business, in
which case the business owns it.

Loan from bank (Demerara Bank LTD)
Years of personal savings.

Working capital is the money needed to fund the normal, day to day operations of your business.
It ensures you have enough cash to pay your debts and expenses as they fall due.

ROLE OF ENTREPRENEUR

An entrepreneur is a person who sets p a business and organizes and manages enterprises,
usually with considerable initiative and risk.

Three (3) functions of an entrepreneur are:
To raise finance before production begins.
To ensure the factors of production are used in the correct proportion.
To take risk by entering the market in order to supply goods.
