WHY STUDY ELECTOMAGNETICS
Electromagnetic fields are made up of electric and magnetic fields
interdependent on each other and vary with time. The electric field acts
upon material bodies due to their property of charge while the magnetic
field acts upon charge on motion.
We cannot escape the reality that electromagnetics is everywhere therefore
understanding the fundamental nature of it is very important. Therefore
Maxwell used a set of equations in doing so and came up with the
fundamental basis in understanding electromagnetic waves
Looking at the applications of electromagnetic waves are; light, and its
interactions with biological tissues and cells. Which help to provide
essential information for diagnosis.
Electromagnetics is one of the most important forces that govern our
existence and defines a new perspective in the way we look at nature.
In computer systems it is essential that the engineers have very good
understanding of electromagnetics in order to evaluate which
approximations are appropriate to any particular design such as the delay
model of the wires clock circles etc. Also spikes in power consumption and
current flow that occur in digital systems at the start of each clock circle can
have a significant effect in the performance of a system therefore requiring
designers to consider the electromagnetic waves carefully when
implementing a design.
Electromagnetics is also very important in the fabrication process on
integrated circuits and in understanding of electrical energy. The use of
fields ti create forces and motions to do useful work is essential
Electromagnets provides the core of electro mechanics, transformer design
and operation, antennas wireless communications system lasers and
optoelectronics and radar technology.
Understanding electromagnets enables us to sense remote objects, model
small light scale microchips analyze objects.
All processes such as generation of light, modulation of light, propagation
of light and detection of light.
In the field of communication the core is al electromagnetics. Otherwise the
physical channel can never be created enabling us to transmit data through
free space. And wirelessly.
The relationship among space time, spatial and temporal frequencies,
special vectors, complexvectors, powers and frequencies in three-
dimensional space and time can now be discussed from unified points of
view through the most fundamental sets of equations in all natural science,
Maxwells equations.
Also in the medical fields the developments of MRIs and CT scanners are
one of the breakthroughs that would have never happened unless with the
core understanding of how the electromagnetic fields work.
To conclude, understanding the mystery of electromagnetic fields is of
utmost importance as it revolves all around us and it is the next
breakthrough of future sciences.
