ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver5/opensrc/apache-1.3.33Fa
This supplement can be installed on the following SCO
OpenServer release(s):
SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.6 with RS506A and OSS646C
NOTE: Before installing this supplement, you MUST first install the following
software:
- Supplemental Graphics, Web, and X11 Libraries version 2.1.0Ba
- Perl version 5.8.7Ba
See ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver5/opensrc
NOTE: The same version of this software is included in SCO OpenServer
Release 5.0.7 Maintenance Pack 4. You should install Maintenance
Pack 4 if you want to run this version on SCO OpenServer Release
5.0.7. This stand-alone package will not install on that platform.

I. Software Notes and Recommendations
1. The major change since apache-1.3.33Eb is an update to
PHP 4.4.0.
2. Note that you do not need to remove previous versions of this
supplement. This package will automatically replace any older
versions.

3. The source code for this component as it was compiled is
available at:
ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver5/507/opensrc/suppcd4

II. Installation Instructions
Before you install Apache 1.3.33Fa, you must have the following
installed:
- Support Level Supplement (SLS) OSS646C
- gwxlibs 2.1.0Ba
- perl 5.8.7Ba
To install this supplement follow these steps:
1. Download the media image tar archive from:
ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver5/opensrc/apache-1.3.33Fa
2. Place the files in a temporary directory such as /tmp/apache
and run the command:
tar xvf apache1333Fa_vol.tar
3. Run the Software Manager with the command:
# scoadmin software
or double-click on the Software Manager icon in the desktop.
4. Pull down the "Software" menu and select "Install New".
5. When prompted for the host from which to install, choose
the local machine and then "Continue".
6. In the "Select Media" menu, pull down the "Media Device" menu.
Select "Media Images", then choose "Continue".
7. When prompted for the "Image Directory", enter "/tmp/apache"
(or the directory where you placed the VOL files in step 2)
and choose "OK".
8. When prompted to select the software to install, make sure that
the "Apache Web Server 1.3.33" entry is highlighted. Choose
"Install".
9. Installation is now complete. To exit the Software Manager,
select "Exit" from the "Host" menu.

III. Removal Instructions
Note: Patches must be rolled back in the reverse order in which they
were installed on a per-component basis.
1. Log in as root.
2. Execute the command:
# scoadmin software
or double-click on the Software Manager icon in the
desktop.
3. Highlight "Apache Web Server 1.3.33".
4. Pull down the "Software" menu and select "Remove Software".
5. Once the removal finishes, quit the Software Manager.
Removal is now complete.
