different processes / activities performed by the company
which include the following:

The Discipline Engineers / Supervisors ensure that the processes


comply with the project requirements.
The QA/QC Personnel monitor the implementation of process control
parameters.

The Estimation Group / CAD Operators ensure that applicable


process standards will be complied with.

PROCEDURE
5.1 GENERAL
5.1.1 The Discipline Managers / Lead Engineers are responsible for
identification, planning and providing of processes directly
affecting quality, and ensuring that these processes are
carried out controlled conditions.
5.1.2 Documented procedures / work instructions shall be provided,
specifying the method of production and installation, in
particular to the processes where inadequate control could
affect quality.
5.1.3 Necessary equipment and resources shall be provided for the
processes concerned and proper working environment shall
be provided.
5.1.4 The relevant certification, measurement, calibration, approval
of processes, procedures, equipment, and personnel, as
required to control the processes shall be provided.
5.1.5 The processes shall be in compliance with the applicable
codes, standards, specification, project quality plan and
documented procedures
5.1.6 Adequate monitoring and control of the activities shall be
performed.
5.1.7 The process control parameters shall be monitored through
inspection and testing on the required processes.
5.1.8 Process capability shall be maintained through planned
periodic maintenance of equipment and facilities.
5.1.9 Training needs of the personnel shall be identified and
suitable training shall be provided.

5.2

SPECIAL PROCESSES
5.2.1 Special processes for which results cannot be fully verified by
subsequent inspection and testing of the product, and a
deficiency may become apparent only after the product is in
use, these shall be controlled with documented procedures,
to ensure that the special requirements are met.
5.2.2 Special processes performed at CESCO mainly include:

Welding and brazing
Coating and painting
Commissioning Assistance
Cable splicing
Others

5.2.3 Special processes shall be carried out and monitored by
qualified personnel using documented procedures / work
instructions.
5.2.4 Wherever required, all special processes shall be subjected to
the approval of the client.
5.2.5 Project records shall be maintained for approved processes,
equipment and personnel, as appropriate.

RESOURCES
5.3.1 CESCO possesses necessary resources for the control of the
procedures.
5.3.2 Key staff controlling the quality of work shall be properly
trained and qualified.
5.3.3 Equipment and tools required for construction, and inspection
and testing shall be timely mobilized from company owned
resources or hired from other agencies.
5.3.4 Materials and subcontract services shall also be planned in
advance and procured.

5.4

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
5.4.1 Companys Support Services department shall maintain a list
of all construction / installation equipment (Form:
CES/WS/001).
5.4.2 All major equipment shall be provided with a schedule for
periodic maintenance (Form: CES/WS/001).
5.4.3 Routine maintenance shall be performed based on the above
schedule and recorded in the maintenance record for the
equipment (Form: CES/WS/002).
5.4.4 Proper records and documentations shall be maintained for
the maintenance of equipment (Form: CES/WS/003).

control of processes:
