the pupils ability.

3.4 Read aloud expressively and fluently pronouncing words correctly and

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Read and enjoy story
2. Read aloud a story with correct pronunciation
3. Answer at least 5 out of 8 rearrange simple sentences and complete words
questions.

1. Set Induction (5 min)
1. Teacher shows pictures of crow and fox to the
class.
2. Teacher introduces the topic by asking general
questions about crow and fox.
- Which one can fly?
- Does crows feathers shiny?
- Are they friends?

2. Stage 1 (15 minutes)
1. Teacher shows one flashcard at a time.
2. For each flashcard, teacher repeats all the words
found on the stack of flashcards.
3. Each flashcard contain one of the following words;
- Crow, fox, flew, branch, beak, passed by, shiny,
praise, tricked.
4. Teacher asks pupils to say what is written on the
flashcard.
5. Teacher explains what the meanings are.

3. Stage 2 ( 20 minutes)
Activity 1
1. Teacher provides 4 questions on the board and tells
the pupils to find the answers while they read.
- Where did the crow take the bun to?
- Why did the crow open her mouth?
- Was the fox clever?
- Was the crow fool?
2. Teacher asks the class to read the text and answer
the questions.
3. Teacher check answers with the class.
4. Teacher asks some pupils to read the text again
loudly and teacher makes corrections where
necessary.
5. Teacher asks pupils of any words in the text that
they do not understand and explain to them.
6. Teacher asks some pupils to spell words correctly.

1. Teacher distributes worksheets to the class.
2. Teacher asks pupils to read the questions carefully.
3. Teachers asks some pupils to read on each

4. Stage 3 ( 15 min)
Activity 1
1. Teacher tells the class to work on the exercises in
their activity book.
2. Pupils exchange their answers with friends besides
and discuss the answer together.

2. Pupils discuss in group a situation related to the
story they read.
