All praises be to Allah, Lord of all Universe. O Allah, bless and shower peace upon our liege Muhammad , his family and his
companions. O Allah, a year has passed from our lives. You have bestowed upon us immense blessings which we can never fully fathom. You
have protected us from evil when we could not detach ourselves from it. We have done deeds whose inner reality only You are aware.
O Allah, if our deeds are in accordance with Your Injunctions, we beg You to accept them as meaningful ones in Your Sight.
However, if those deeds have been accompanied by pride and envy, or we have wronged ourselves (by them), or the intention therein was
tainted, we beseech Your Forgiveness and we implore You to hide those wrongs. Bless us with goodness and enrich us with Your bountiful
provisions.
O Allah, the New Year is crawling in and the current year will leave us shortly. We do not know what is in store for us in the coming
year. We are ignorant as to where our life is heading to. It is our hope that You allow us to begin this New Year at the door of Forgiveness so
that we do not end this life in a loss. O Allah, we plead that You bestow good fortune upon us in the coming year so that we may continue
doing good deeds that attain Your Pleasure, and lead to a harmonious life that envelops Your Blessing.
O Allah, we seek Your Might to safeguard our physical selves so that we may continue to worship You. Protect us so that our hearts
are filled with love. Open our hearts, just as how You open the hearts of the righteous, so that we seek You always. Place us amongst those
who keep their promises and fulfil their responsibilities. Make our life a witness to the deeds you have enjoined upon us. O quintessence of
Mercy!
