? I have always kept my eye upon the financial advancement in life. It is

my belief that owing an enterprise or owing a small scale business always tends
up giving you more opportunities, freedom to work, take decisions and good monet
ary returns. The platform of engineering gives me the ability to withstand with
the cutting edge technology while on the other hand the knowledge of management
will inculcate Managerial skills within me thereby uplifting my individual poten
tial to withstand in the place commonly called as Market.
? I wish to see myself as an emerging entrepreneur (Locally/hometown on sm
all scale basis which is practically feasible) in the category of fast-food reta
iling typically known as quick service Restaurants.
? The vital responsibilities that will become my primary concerns will be
as follows:
1. I will be handling the staffing and recruiting. (Human resource).
2. I need to maintain the inventory database.
3. I will be whole and sole person looking after marketing to withstand in
the competitive market as its a startup.
4. Initially I also need to look after the finance and accounts.
These are the few key responsibilities which I will be managing for few years of
start-up.
? My uncle will be more than happy to sponsor me for the start-up. He can
provide me with the initial investment required and the remaining funds can be b
orrowed from by the means of loan.
? He has seen me getting old. He knows the quality within me and he has he
lped me improvise and groom those skills and quality within me. The main reason
that he will support me will be my self-confidence and thrust to achieve somethi
ng in life. He has always seen me putting the dedicated effort for every single
project I have done in my life. Being a self-motivated person, I have always kep
t an optimistic view in my life. Sport was always an integral part in my life an
d thereby taught the true meaning of leadership and team.
? He will perhaps give me an advice to be more punctual indeed. Moreover I
belongs to the country where people are food craving and you can expect the foo
d business will never the side effect of inflation.
? This start-up requires low capital investment and you can expand it as y
ou proceed. The Fast food retails and food industry earns almost 35-40% gross pr
ofit margin as per my knowledge. Lastly, Laborer can be easily found in the mark
et who can work at flexible time and with low range of wages.
? The (three) factors which are most appealing to me for this start-up are
:
1. As I mentioned above, this retail sector has one of the leading gross ne
t profit and moreover it requires less initial investment compared to other indu
strial sectors.
2. As it is said three essential things in humans life are food, shelter and
home, this retail sector dont faces the problem or recession much.
3. Your can easily get the human resource for such type of organizations.
4. Such type of business are always preferred in an eye catching locations,
amidst the people as the business totally deals directly with the people.
5. Moreover work-life balance is also maintained optimally and lastly sky i
s the limit for the futuristic expansion which means there are lot many opportun
ities to excel in this if you are willing to.
? You cannot step into the market without the prior knowledge of staffing,
recruiting, marketing strategies, organizational behavior, accounting, good com
munication skills and leading from upfront. These are just the glimpse of the fe
w characteristic need to possess by a person to have a desired start-up.
All this essential qualities were cultivated within me when I studies engineerin
g management. All the aspects were well taught in engineering management program
which helped me to stand in this competitive market and emboss my mark.
My previous experiences of job I did before pursuing EMP gave me a practical und
erstanding of the technological aspects of the firms. After graduating from the
EMP, I got recruited as a Manager into one of the leading Retail chains which he
lped me broadening my view towards the working environment in a firm. This exper
ience has helped me a lot to link up all the practical analysis and statistics w
ith the theoretical aspects which I studies in EMP.
There by I can comment that this program helped me rectifying the loopholes and
cross the hurdles in this challenging life where it is hard to sustain, by givin
g me an opportunity to excel and implement my ideas in both aspect: Technology a
nd Management.
